1. Your employer or job doesn't help you fulfill your personal mission.

You need to ask yourself if your company jibes with your life's goals and values. Does it require you to travel more than you'd like, given your chosen work-life balance? Does it offer enough upward mobility, given your level of ambition? There are no right or wrong answers to such questions ― but they will give you a better sense of whether you are investing your time at the right or wrong company.

2. You can't picture yourself at your company in a year.

A year is about how long it takes to find a new, better job. Try to look forward and think about where you'll most likely be in the organization 12 months from now. Also try to predict what work you'll be doing, whom you will be managing, and who will be managing you, they say. If that scenario strikes you with anything short of excitement, then you're spinning your wheels.

You shouldn't necessarily up and quit at the first inkling of dissatisfaction, because at some point in your career, no matter where you work, you will have to endure difficult times, and even a deadly dull assignment, to survive a crisis or move up. But it makes little sense to stay at a company because of inertia. Unlock your door and get out.

1.“run out of steam”亦作“run out of gas”,表示“(对所做的事情)不再有精力和兴趣”,例如:The home team seemed to run out of steam before the game was over.(比赛结束前,主队好像筋疲力尽打不起精神了。)

I was stuck in a rut and decided to look for a new job.(我那时的工作一成不变,就决定找一份新工作。)I don't like being in a rut.(我不喜欢一成不变地生活。)

I enjoy my job,but it is time to move on.(戒很喜欢我的工作,可是该换换了。)

4.“work out sth.”

接着德国朋友说了一句“I can image other managers and directors including GM are all laughing outloud now.”(我能想象此时此刻其他的部门经理,总监,甚至总经理应该都笑到前仰后合了。)

“It is to show that you are impolite, rude, uneducated, inappropriate, informal and unprofessional.”

“You are implying a close relationship with the readers”

“It never means the same to differentpeople from different cultures.”

Yes, we all live full, busy lives,as a result, it’s inevitable something will come up that causes us to miss a deadline or be late for work once in a while. But while you’ll often need to give an explanation for your blunder, you should never make excuses. The truth is, they don’t actually help you save face at all, and they risk damaging your relationships at work―or worse, convincing your boss you’re not equipped to handle your job. Read on for three common excuses you’ll hear in the office, and why you should avoid them at all costs.

1.“Blame it on the Train”

OK, sure, sometimes the train, or the bus, or the carpool lane is a disaster, and there’s nothing you can do about it. But nine times out of 10, you should still make it to work on time, because you’ve built that unpredictability into your commute time. That’s what responsible adults do, right? Yes. Blame the train, and your boss will see right through it.

Instead, try being honest. Being honest about the real reason you’re late shows you have the courage to own up to your mistakes, instead of assigning blame whenever something goes wrong.

First, you have to know what you want. It’s not enough to go after a profession thatpays well. Making money your priority will destroy your soul. It will leave youunsatisfied and miserable。

Onceyou become clear about what you want to do, it’s important that you focus onthe tasks that help you make the most progress. For example, if you’re buildingan online business, you can spend all the time you want checking email, but itwon’t get you closer to the goals that truly matter in your life. An onlinebusiness is not a business until a sale is made。

Goalsetting gives your mind something to focus on. Our brains are goal seekingmechanisms. If you don’t give your mind something to go after, it won’t know what to do。

Onceyou’ve set your goal, it’s time to start taking massive action. Most successfulpeople are positive. They face the same amount of challenges as anyone else. The only difference is that they view their failures differently. They knowthat by trying many things, they will succeed sooner or later, whileunsuccessful people tend to give up before they’ve even started。

Becomingsuccessful is all about trial and error. The more you fail, the faster you willsucceed. This doesn’t mean you should jump from thing to thing before you’vegiven it a chance. What you大学生【职场英语:职场精英必须做到的五件事】 should do is pick one thing that has been proven towork, and make it work. The important thing is that you stay focused until youmake it work。
