(一)要注意英语习惯表达法

在进行书面表达时,要符合英语的习惯用法,否则容易杜撰出“中式”英语,使人难以看懂。所以不能先想汉语的.意思,然后再直译为英语,而要善于用英语思考(thinkinEnglish),使用常用的英语句型来表达。

例如:

1?他的身体很好。Heisstrong.(正)

Hisbodyisstrong.(误)

汉语说“某人的身体强弱”,英语中不必加body。

2?我想不会下雨。Idon’tthinkitwilrain.(正)

Ithinkitwilnotrain.(误)

凡说“我想……不……”时,英语中应该用“Idon’tthink……”句型。但“hope”一词却相反,我们可以说“Ihopeitwilnotrain.”而不可以说“Idon’thopeitwilrain.”

(二)巧用思维拐弯法

当表达某一意思有困难时,巧用常用词语或自己熟悉的词语来进行表达,可达到同样效果,又可避免出错。

例如:

这些月饼很可口。

Thesemooncakesareverydelicious.

某同学因“delicious”一词想不起来,为避免拼错,这位同学思维一转,灵机一动,马上写成:

Thesemooncakesareverynice.

(三)巧用变繁为简法

当一个较长的中文意思,用一句英语表达有困难时,可分为两句或多句表达。

例如:这张照片中怀抱婴儿的那个妇女是我的母亲。

Inthisphotothewomanwithababyinherarmsismymother.

如有困难,可改成两句来表达就简单得多了:

Thewomaninthisphotoismymother.

Ababyisinherarms.

其实,英语书面表达有较大的灵活性,并不一定写很长的难句就好,只要叙述清楚,有条有理,让人一看明白就行。

摘 要:高考英语书面表达一直是众多考生惧怕的一个难题,同时也是英语教学中的一个薄弱环节,许多考生的高考写作水平低,得不了高分,严重影响了英语整体成绩。分析关于高考书面写作表达中存在的问题及解决的对策有着深远意义。

关键词:书面表达;问题;对策

从高考英语试题题型来看,书面表达占的比例相当大,所以书面表达做得好与不好对考生的成绩影响特别大。根据历年高考评卷分析,相当多的考生在书面表达环节上失分严重。为了帮助考生解决这一难题,笔者从书面表达存在的问题及解决的办法两方面简要谈谈自己的看法。

一、存在的问题

1、用汉语的思维遣词造句

大多数考生在书面表达中,最常见的毛病就是“中文式英语”,平日里习惯了中文表达,在写英语文章时,也只是将句子直译出来,不能用英语思维,用英语表达意思,写作能力从根本上无法提高。如:If one side had trouble, eight sides came to help、(一方有难,八方支援。)这种句子中国人读起来较容易,也能够理解,但不符合英语表达习惯,也不规范。

2、语言使用有误,语法错误多

在高考的紧张环境下,许多考生不能灵活地运用所学知识准确地表达意思,总是会出现各种各样的错误,尤其是语法方面的错误。如,时态、语态、人称、单复数、大小写、前后逻辑关系等,使阅卷老师认为考生在基础英语方面存在的严重问题,从而失分情况在所难免。如,The professor gives us a speech the next week、这类句子在考卷中比比皆是。

3、谋篇布局与衔接能力弱

书面表达是对考生各方面能力的一个综合考查,但多数考生在阅读题目之后就直接动笔去写,根本不知在下笔之前对文章进行合理构思和巧妙布局的重要性,从而使文章句式单一贫乏,句意不够连贯,文章不符合逻辑,没有一定的语篇衔接手段等等瑕疵。

4、思想上不重视英语写作

许多学生在平时的写作训练中,不能给予写作足够的重视,只是草率地完成作业,根本不重视构思、条理等环节,往往还会出现文体与要求不符,忽略细节等问题,在书写规范上更是错误百出,字迹潦草。

二、解决的对策

1、培养学生用英语思维的能力

在平时的课文教学中,教师应对学生进行各种形式的.写作技能训练,培养学生用英语思维的能力。在课堂上,鼓励学生用英语记学习笔记,多听英文范文,运用所学的基本词汇和短语练习写一些简单的句子,但力求达到准确无误。还可以挑选一些精彩的句型、段落和语篇进行背诵,培养语感。除此之外,也可以做一些句型转换、汉译英、英译汉的专项练习,用各种方式培养用英语思维的能力。

2、掌握基本知识,避免语法错误

众所周知,构成语言的三个基本要素是:语音、词汇和语法。很多学生在语音方面存在着极大的问题,导致单词不会记,记不住,所以教师在平常的授课中,应该帮助学生复习语音知识,教会学生认识开音节、闭音节,运用字母组合发音规则来记忆单词,并且利用构词法来扩大词汇量,丰富写作中的词汇。在平时的学习中,学生应该积极主动地积累一些常用句型,用所学的短语自己构造简单的句子,力求使每一个句子都没有任何的语法错误。

3、了解高考书面表达题材,做到游刃有余

近年来,高考书面表达的题材主要集中在“议论文和应用文”上,了解写作题材,并根据题材写出正确的格式是写好文章的关键一步,然后再根据要求,先对文章进行整体的构思,在时间允许的情况下罗列提纲,打草稿并修改,修改的同时一定要注意文章的连贯性并恰当地使用连接词,最后定稿完成写作。

4、充分认识书面表达的重要性

写作属于语言输出形式,所以必须从思想上重视语言,在积累了一定的思想感受和大量的语言素材后,写作能力才有可能提高,文章才有可能写好,而且写出来的文章,只有书写规范、正确美观、卷面整洁才能给整篇文章锦上添花。

总之,要想写好书面表达,考试中得高分,平时的积累与训练至关重要,考生必须首先从思想上充分认识到书面表达的重要性,并在平时的日常训练中有步骤、有计划地进行系统的训练。

一、引言

在高三英语复习中,书面表达方面的复习指导一直不受重视 在培养学生书面表达能力的实践过程中,如何谋篇一直是被忽视的。我们应该注意两个这样的现象;一是学生犯的词与句的错误虽然数量多,却远不如所犯的结构错误严重,信息点过多或不够、逻辑混乱、结构不严谨是造成书面表达”档次低”的”罪魁祸首”;二是词与句的错误并非都是由于不会用词或不会造句本身引起的,不会谋篇也会引发词句的错误。要纠正词句的错误,不能完全停留在词、句层面,正如治病不能仅仅“头疼医头、脚疼医脚”一样。培养学生谋篇的能力在高中英语书面表达中占有重要的位置。

本节课的教学设计即要解决学生书面表达中出现的谋篇问题,即从英语书面表达“审题六步曲”入手,提高学生的谋篇能力,提升学生作文档次。

二、学生分析

中学英语书面表达字数要求不多(100词左右),开放度不高(情境已经通过中文或图片给出),因此学生对书面表达构思不够重视,轻视审题,不假思索,信手就写,甚至逐句翻译,致使作文的信息点叠加在一起,句与句之间逻辑联系不紧密,从篇章上来看作文缺乏层次和结构。

三 设计思路

《高中英语课程标准》对八级(高三)学生的目标要求是:“有较强的自信心和自主学习能力。能就熟悉的话题与讲英语的人士进行比较自然的交流。能就口头或书面材料的内容发表评价性见解。能写出连贯且结构完整的短文。能自主策划、组织和实施各种语言实践活动,如商讨和制定计划、报告实验和调查结果。能有效利用网络等多种教育资源获取和处理信息,并根据需要对所获得的信息进行整理、归纳、分析。能自觉评价学习效果,形成有效的英语学习策略。”

根据新课标精神,本课时要让学生在书面表达中尽可能写出连贯且结构完整的短文,避免“信手就写,甚至逐句翻译,致使作文的信息点叠加在一起,句与句之间逻辑联系不紧密”,同时也尽可能减少或避免一些低级错误如人称,动词时态等方面错误。

本次书面表达复习课就从谋篇审题 六步入手来完成教学目的,侧重于引导学生在把握书面表达的写作前准备即谋篇审题能力,使学生在写作前以如下构思模式来完成谋篇审题: 1,体裁——学生要弄清楚写怎样的文章类型,确定作文格式。

2,人称——确定该以第几人称来叙述,避免代词错误。 3,时态——清楚文章总体时态,并确定句子的具体时态。

4,段落——确定文章段落,即文章逻辑结构,避免主次不分,结构混乱的错误。 5,主题句——段落或结构确定后,每部分主要要表述的内容就得体现在主题句上,确定每部分主题句,阐明观点。

6,文章内容即要具体表达哪些,就要有具体而准确的要点来填充。根据材料与协作目标确定必要要点。

四、教学目标与重、难点

一)认知目标:通过分析学生书面表达过程中存在的问题,使学生了解谋篇的重要性。

二).能力目标:通过两篇书面表达的实际演练,使学生养成写作前先谋篇的习惯。

三)情感目标:通过老师在书面表达方面复习教学中的“审题六步曲”的引导,让学生树立较强的书面表达写作自信心,特别是让部分学生消除英语写作的恐慌心理。

四)教学目标与重、难点

提供有效的作文案例,对学生的'心灵产生震撼,使学生了解谋篇的重要性,从而主动地培养谋篇的习惯、发展谋篇的能力。

五、教学资源与教学环境

1.书面表达题目两个:一个日记要求的作文,一个书信要求的写作。(见附件) 2两篇.学生书面表达:有审题六步中各部分相应的错误。

3.多媒体教室,有大屏幕。

六、教学过程

1,给学生日记写作要求的材料,让其明白写作要求。

2,老师在学生清楚写作要求后就此篇作文引入审题六步曲的六步骤让学生了解审题六步曲的概念。

3,展示两篇学生作文,让学生尝试用审题六步曲来检查这两篇习作所存在的相应错误。

4,练习,通过上述操作后学生基本弄懂审题六步曲的谋篇模式了,让学生就书信材料的写作题目进行有针对性的尝试练习,在准备五分钟后让部分学生上台口头叙述。

5,讨论与评价,让学生分组讨论部分同学的口述按审题六步曲而作的作文。

书面表达是英语标准化试题的组成部分。虽然它比重小,但效度高,是试题中能测试学生真实水平的唯一的主观题,是决定考生能否取得高分的关键题。虽然该题只是测试学生最基本的笔头表达能力,并非传统意义的作文,要求并不高,但从考试的'实际情况看,书面表达题的得分率和及格率均偏低。究其原因,主要是学生基础知识掌握不牢,基本技能运用较差。要想提高书面表达题的成绩,关键是要狠抓双基,在平时练习和应试时要力求四忌。

一忌文不对题,漏写要点。书面表达题前都有说明,明确指出所写材料的目的、对象、时间、地点、内容、长度等,考生必须看清说明,弄清题旨,努力做到根据指令审题,抓住要点作文。文不对题,休想多得分;遗漏或未讲清要点,会扣分;随意乱加又是画蛇添足,吃力不讨好,这里最需要的是耐心和细致,粗心大意难免要吃后悔药。

二忌文理不通、语无伦次。层次清楚,文理通顺是作文的基本要求,英文书面表达亦应如此,应试者对所提供的情景要作分析,先写什么,后写什么,应作统筹安排,既不能按中文说明逐句翻译,更不能颠三倒四,,语无伦次。

在表达的过程中,善于抓住表达的关键词语,正确使用过渡的关连词是使文章自然地承上启下,脉络清晰的有效之举。在平时教学中,注意做些选词造句,连句成文,短文完型填空,缩写课文,均有助于培养学生有条不紊的书面表达能力。

三忌语法出错,拼写有误。用词恰当,语言准确是书面表达的又一基本要求。考生应正确运用词汇、短语、句型,努力避免词法、句法、拼写错误。英语基础知识的好坏,直接关系到语言的准确性。只要基础教学抓得好,并做到卓有成效的训练,准确运用语言是可以做到的。如一些固定词组的用法,动词的时态、语态,主、谓语的一致关系等是写作中易出毛病的地方,但这些却是学生在初中应该解决的问题,在这些方面造成过多失分是不应该的。

同时应努力避免单词拼写错误,关键单词写错或不会写直接影响意义的表达。在应试中,对于写不来的单词,应设法避难就易,寻找替代词(同义词、反义词)。现在英语高考实行标准化考试,大多是选择题,有些人放松了对单词拼写的要求。学外语不抓单词拼写这个基本功,是极其荒谬的。

四忌书写马虎、卷面邋遢。秀丽的字体、整洁的卷面会使人赏心悦目,产生良好的心理感受,即使有些错误,也可能不多扣分。反之,书写潦草,卷面邋遢,会使阅卷人心烦意乱,油然而生反感,那怕错误不多,也可能得不到应得的分数。

一、写作时要考虑的几个方面

1.认真审题,理解题意。首先要看准文章的写作体裁,其次才能定时态、定人称、定格式(因为不同的文体的格式不同),然后再考虑语言、语气的运用。

一般的记叙文、说明文、议论文等多用书面语;而应用文,如书信、口头通知、便条等多用口头语。记叙文、日记等一般可用过去时,而说明文、通知等一般要用一般现在时或将来时。如果是看图写文,看懂每幅图之间的联系至关重要。根据每幅图写出一至两句话。因为每年高考书面表达一般控制在10句话、120个词左右。

2.连句成文。每句话写好后,用适当的连词连接起来,使之上下连贯、呼应、通顺、简洁,即可形成文章。

3.查错漏。完稿后,检查一下有没有时态、语态、拼写错误并逐一加以改正。

4.书写规范,卷面干净。任何一种形式的书面文字材料,都要求书写规范,拼写准确无误,字迹清晰,按书写规则、大小写和移行要保持正确,切记不要有“铁丝网”、“地雷”、“篱笆”之类的东西,卷面一定要讲究干净。

不同的书面表达形式有不同的格式,如书信、日记、通知等各有其特殊形式,都要按要求书写规范。书写时除了注意移行规则外,还应注意字母写得圆滑饱满,有15%左右的倾斜度,每行写10个单词左右,词与词的距离要小、行与行的距离稍大些,写10行左右,这样的字段既符合要求,也显得短小精悍。同时,还要注意文章的开头和结尾写好,要用最流行、最回味的语言和语句去写,这样更会得到评卷老师的好感。只有这样考生才会得到满意而有理想的高分。

二、一篇好的作文应具备的几个要素

1.生动、具体(有细节支撑)。

4.语言的逻辑性。

3.表达要准确。准确的理解,是准确表达的前提,理解准确的内容,要用准确的语言形态表达,在具体写作时,应主要注意以下几点:

通常,英语学习,听、说、读、写、译五项基本技能缺一不可。《普通高中英语课程标准》,对九级语言技能目标英语写作有6点明确的要求。同时列出了写作技能与试题设计的要求和写作评价标准,其测试方式有五种。学生作文主要从内容要点、语言使用效果、结构和连贯性、格式和语域及与目标读者的交流五个方面进行评价。英语书面表达是英语语言基础知识和语法基础知识的综合运用,还要具有较强的语言表达能力和逻辑思维能力,要求内容清楚、意思连贯、结构完整、逻辑性强、主题突出、用词准确、文体恰当。一般,要文理通畅,非单纯地翻译。要答卷满意,平时确实需要长期的信心的培养,耐心的启发,由易到难,从简单到复杂,循序渐进地坚持内容、语言、语法、表达、结构、逻辑和卷面等进行规范地训练,而且训练有素。现在,不少学生对英语书面表达不予或不够重视。这并非完全意义上的写作,只要求用书面语言基本表达出要表达的东西。一般原则是:不多写、不少写和不错写。现结合存在的问题和多年的教学积累,谈谈高考英语书面表达应注重的五方面。

1 用顺

审准题义,明确情景,看清要求。不少考生写作时,还有不看要求或不看完看全要求就解题的习惯,特别是不注意生词或短语提示,或干脆完全根据所给材料先后顺序逐一翻译。前后不连贯,层次不清晰,逻辑性不强。因此应认真思考材料,找到所要表达的`主旨文意及线索,在线索引导下通畅地表达内容,增加可读性。为此,应注意使用and, so, then, at the same time, on the one hand, on the other hand, first, second,at last, what''s more, I''m afraid, I think等表示过度及连接的词汇,使之有较强的感情色彩。

2 用对

对每一个句子都尽可能避免语法错误。通常错处出在:

2.1动词错误

(1)多用。

1)There were five hundred students couldn’t go to school because of the earthquake.(划线部分改为Five hundred)

2)A hero comes from Beichuan will give us a talk tomorrow afternoon. (划线部分改为coming或去掉comes)

(2)缺失。

1)He wouldn’t ∧ able to work out the math problem. (遗漏处加be)

2)It isn’t said that they ∧ often careless in class. (遗漏处加are)

(3)时态错误。

1)Hurry up! Here is coming the bus. (划线部分改为comes)

2)Class start at 8:00 am. (划线部分改为starts)

书面表达可能出现多种时态,但特定时间背景下时态相同。如人事物现状的介绍,应以一般现在时为主;过去的介绍,应以一般过去时为主;日记应以一般过去时为主;通知应以一般现在时为主。千万不要随心所欲,不假思索地使用,造成大面积失分。

(4)语态错误。由于汉语被动色彩不浓,因此英语表达易受影响,该用而不用,不该用而用be动词。如:

1)He remembered his wallet had ∧ lost in the bus. (遗漏处加been)

2)The matter was happened two years ago. (划线处去掉was)

还有喜欢在动词前面加be动词。如:

2.2名词单复数混用

2.3冠词错误

冠词属小词,重视不够,影响表达。

1)How do you spell the computer?(划线处去掉the)

2)We should treasure the time because the time is money. (划线处去掉the)

3 用准

用准确地道的语言,不能生涩难懂,不合英语表达习惯。常见现象如下:

3.1单词堆砌

写句子,用语不准,而根据汉语句序进行相应的英语单词堆砌而成。如:

1) Study hard, are because they know is the Hope Project give their chance to go to school. (错)→They study hard because they know it is the Hope Project that gives them a chance to go to school. (正)

2)Welcome you come back to our school to visit. (错)

→You’re welcome back to visit our school. (正)

另外,不重视掌握单词,写作时碰到生词难句就委婉地去解释,用模糊定义,语言生涩难懂,文意混乱,表达不清。如:

→Mr. Zhao is good at teaching, and he has many methods of teaching us English. (正)

3.2使用Chinglish

英语作文,受汉语影响,虽语法正确,却不符英语表达习惯。如:

1) Our friends are all over the world. (错)→We have friends all over the world. (正)

2) My height is 180 centimeters and my body is healthy. (错)

→I am 180 centimeters tall and I’m healthy. (正)

语言转换功在平时。简明扼要,表达清楚,是关键所在。冰冻三尺,非一日之寒。

4 用全

初学写作要简单完整清楚地表达,就要把握两个关系:

4.1完整不一定就句式复杂

一味追求新、奇、特、难,容易出错。如:

1) Li Lang, a brave boy who is only 6 years old and that is a middle school student and that comes from the northwest of the Sichuan Province. (错)→Li Lang, a brave boy who is only 6 years old , and he is a middle school student from the northwest part of the Sichuan Province.(正)

2)It is not only we students but also our parents and our teachers are kind to the children. (错)→Not only we students but also our parents and our teachers are kind to the children. (正)

4.2简单也不一定就用省略句

在不可省的地方省略,结构就不完整,句意就不明确。如:

1)He studies very hard and kind. (错)→He studies very hard and he is very kind. (正)

2)He doesn''t know what and how to do. (错)→He doesn''t know what to do and how to do it. (正)

另外,考试是根据内容和表达给分的,要点齐全,是直接因素。必须注意要点来源:

标题。有些需要标题,却粗心漏掉不写,造成失分。书写标题应力求简洁明了,有较强概括力和针对性,并注意单词字母大小写。

格式。不少应用文需要正确的格式,如通知的开头,常常要交待通知的对象;日记开头,常常交待时间和天气;信件的左上角必须注明写信人的地址和时间,下一行要顶格写上称呼,正文结束后,要有结束语,并签名。

正文。这是全文要点集中之处,应认真思考材料含义,理清大意,将所有要点逐一落实,并检查有无遗漏。

常识性。原材料不一定反应,但仍然重要,既属内容,又承上启下,增强文章可读性。如写通知结尾可用“Don’t forget the time and address.”,“I’m sure you’ll have a pleasant time/a lot of fun.”或“That’s all, thank you.”;写参观欢迎词开头可用“You’re welcome to visit our city.”,“Now, let me tell you something about our school.”或“Let me introduce something about our school to you.”,结尾可用“Now, I’d like to introduce something about our school/LI Ping to you.”,介绍结束也可用“That’s all, thank you.”;写信结尾可用“Please give my best regards/love /wishes to your parents.”或“Remember me to your parents!”,“I hope to hear from you soon.”或“Waiting for your early reply.”

必须注意原则:不多不少。该有的不少,不该有的不写。

5 整洁

文章写好后,应认真修改,不忙于提前交卷,避免大小写及标点符号错误,誊写应尽可能书写工整,布局美观。卷面整洁清爽就会增加得高分机会。

书面表达是英语标准化试题的组成部分。虽然它比重小,但效度高,是试题中能测试学生真实水平的唯一的主观题,是决定考生能否取得高分的关键题。虽然该题只是测试学生最基本的笔头表达能力,并非传统意义的作文,要求并不高,但从考试的实际情况看,书面表达题的得分率和及格率均偏低。究其原因,主要是学生基础知识掌握不牢,基本技能运用较差。要想提高书面表达题的成绩,关键是要狠抓双基,在平时练习和应试时要力求四忌。

一忌文不对题,漏写要点。书面表达题前都有说明,明确指出所写材料的目的、对象、时间、地点、内容、长度等,考生必须看清说明,弄清题旨,努力做到根据指令审题,抓住要点作文。文不对题,休想多得分;遗漏或未讲清要点,会扣分;随意乱加又是画蛇添足,吃力不讨好,这里最需要的'是耐心和细致,粗心大意难免要吃后悔药。

二忌文理不通、语无伦次。层次清楚,文理通顺是作文的基本要求,英文书面表达亦应如此,应试者对所提供的情景要作分析,先写什么,后写什么,应作统筹安排,既不能按中文说明逐句翻译,更不能颠三倒四,,语无伦次。

在表达的过程中,善于抓住表达的关键词语,正确使用过渡的关连词是使文章自然地承上启下,脉络清晰的有效之举。在平时教学中,注意做些选词造句,连句成文,短文完型填空,缩写课文,均有助于培养学生有条不紊的书面表达能力。

三忌语法出错,拼写有误。用词恰当,语言准确是书面表达的又一基本要求。考生应正确运用词汇、短语、句型,努力避免词法、句法、拼写错误。英语基础知识的好坏,直接关系到语言的准确性。只要基础教学抓得好,并做到卓有成效的训练,准确运用语言是可以做到的。如一些固定词组的用法,动词的时态、语态,主、谓语的一致关系等是写作中易出毛病的地方,但这些却是学生在初中应该解决的问题,在这些方面造成过多失分是不应该的。

同时应努力避免单词拼写错误,关键单词写错或不会写直接影响意义的表达。在应试中,对于写不来的单词,应设法避难就易,寻找替代词(同义词、反义词)。现在英语高考实行标准化考试,大多是选择题,有些人放松了对单词拼写的要求。学外语不抓单词拼写这个基本功,是极其荒谬的。

四忌书写马虎、卷面邋遢。秀丽的字体、整洁的卷面会使人赏心悦目,产生良好的心理感受,即使有些错误,也可能不多扣分。反之,书写潦草,卷面邋遢,会使阅卷人心烦意乱,油然而生反感,那怕错误不多,也可能得不到应得的分数。
