The stars look forward to the moon, and at last we look forward to Christmas.

On Christmas day, all the days of the cold, raining outside snow. But the cold weather could not stop the happy steps of Christmas. There are beautiful Christmas trees in front of the shops in the street, and the staff in the supermarket are also wearing a lovely Christmas hat.
This evening my cousin, aunt and uncle, walked out of the door, everywhere can see the “floating” in the window of the shop “Snow”, shops on both sides of the Christmas tree full of Santa Claus and toys, and lights in a riotous with colour light, people crowded a bit crowded, people holding many to buy things, the car to and fro, The stream never stops flowing. We walked on the street and heard a lot of Christmas songs, and I started to humming.
We walked into the clothing store and the clerks were busy entertaining customers. I left the right choice, that is, I can't find my favorite clothes. Suddenly, my eyes found a red and blue dress, then uncle brought a look dark clothes, with funny tone: “good looking?” I see, head shaking like a rattle. I took this piece of blue and red clothes and said: “I have to dress.” Uncle agreed without hesitation. But uncle saw the price, with the manager a lot of bargaining, finally put 450 yuan the price becomes 300 yuan. So I returned home with satisfaction.
At home, I couldn't wait to put my socks beside the pillow. I slept in bed, while I waited for Santa to hide the gift in my socks, close my eyes, and I fell asleep unconsciously.

At school today, I went home with my classmates. Because today is a wonderful Christmas Eve. As soon as he came home, dad told me to eat at International Building today. I listened and jumped three feet high with joy. As soon as my mother went home, my father and I went out to eat. On the way, I saw a smiling face on the face of the pedestrians tonight, giving people a feeling of peace and warmth. Walking to the gate of International Building, a warm stream was felt, the cold wind outside the glass door was piercing, and the door was pushed into the warm spring. The Santa Claus in the building waved to us all the time. The green trees of the Christmas tree were covered with thousands of colorful lanterns. Twinkling and twinkling eyes blinked.
When I entered the building, I went straight to the 2 building, and a Christmas song was raged in the western restaurant. A photo of an amiable Santa Claus on the wall. I was sitting on a table with my father, mother and aunts and aunts. All of us were like a big family. It wasn't long before those delicious dishes came. At the sight of the fragrant duck, I can't control myself again and eat it. After I finished these delicious fun, I and many children ran in for a while to see the International Building and courteous and accessible Santa, for a while to see the Christmas tree that a riot of colours of light.
Christmas is a good holiday for gifts. When I was young, I always dreamed that one day Santa could come to my house and give me a nice Christmas gift. When I grew up, I knew that when I was a child, those gifts were sent by mom and dad. Today's Christmas, I pestered my father and mother to give me a gift. Mother told me with a smile. The mother laughed and told me, “tomorrow morning you wake up, Santa's gift will be returned.” Although I knew the gift was sent by my father and mother, I still put a pair of socks on the head of the bed at night. I woke up in the morning and found a 35 dollar book stuck in my socks. I was so happy that I jumped on the bed and yelled, “long live Santa Claus!” I went to school with a book card to show off to my classmates.
I love Christmas!

On Christmas Eve, I had a beautiful dream.
I dreamed that I went to the yeti village. There are lots of snow people waving at me. I saw lots of very nice little houses there. There are many Christmas elves in the house. The elves were friendly to me and they took me to see Santa Claus. “I'm going to give you a present,” said Santa. “just go with me.” Say, Santa Claus blows a whistle, the reindeer pull the car, ga da, ga da's run come, I and Santa Claus sit on the car, Santa's back gift, I hold the list of gifts. The deer got up and I pulled off the list and found the list was so long that I could stretch out the list with two arms, but it wasn't long enough. As I read the list, Father Christmas sent presents. The streets were filled with children's laughter, some singing, some dancing, all happy.
The gift was finally handed out. I went back to the yeti village with Santa Claus. When I was about to say goodbye to them, Father Christmas stopped me and the old man took out his last present from his pocket and gave it to me. I thanked Santa and went home. I think this is my happiest Christmas.

On Christmas Eve, I asked my parents, “will Santa give me presents this year?” Mom and dad said, “yes, yes.” Hearing the words of my father and mother, I smiled with relief.
On the night of Christmas, my mother said to me, “as long as you sleep quietly tonight, do not open your eyes, and tomorrow morning the gift will be on your bed.” I readily agreed. In the evening I made my wish: I want a snowman. I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about presents. In the middle of the night I suddenly saw a vague figure walking up to my bed and putting the present at the bedside. I see the “mystery man”, originally “Santa Claus”, in order not to let “Santa Claus” find me to wake up and walk away, I have to narrow my eyes, ah! What a Santa! I was so happy that I almost screamed. I am “Santa Claus” out of my door, I snuck out, also quietly behind “Santa Claus”, and “Santa Claus” found me and ran away as quickly as they could. Because it was so dark at night, I didn't dare go after it.
Back in the room, I turned on the light, and at the head of my bed was a snowman. It happened to be my wish. The next day, I said to my parents, “I saw Father Christmas last night.” Mom and dad asked in surprise, “really?” Then I saw my dad's dark circles and asked, “daddy, how did you have dark circles?” “Nothing,” he said. “nothing. Maybe I didn't sleep well.”

Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls. Before the term ends in some schools, the children act a nativity or “birth” play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.
On the twenty-fourth of December, all children are very excited. Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready. The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace, so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in. The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents. Later that night, Father or Mother will put presents in the sock, and leave others at the side of the bed.
On Christmas morning, the children wake up very early. Some even turn on the light at two o‘clock, and most of them are awake by six o‘clock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year. Children look for their presents, and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared. At about one o‘clock in the afternoon, the Christmas dinner is
brought in. The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten. Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it. The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas holidays comes to an end.
Christmas Day, the 25th of December is the biggest festival celebrated in the Christian countries of the world. Although everyone enjoys Christmas Day, it is particularly enjoyed by children, who get very excited because of the presents they know they are going to receive. Small children believe that their presents are brought by Santa Claus. Santa Claus (also called Father Christmas) is a kind of old man who, the children are told, lives at the North Pole. He travels through the sky
on a sleigh which is pulled by reindeers and loaded with presents. Stopping on the roof of houses, he enters by climbing the chimney. When small children go to bed on Christmas Eve, they hang a stocking at the end of their beds. Their parents warn them not to try to look at Father Christmas, or he will not leave them anything. When they wake, they find their stockings filled with presents. Children are very excited on Christmas morning and always wake up early.
Christmas is also a family celebration. As any members of the family as possible meet together.

When it is snowy, Christmas becomes much more lovely, just like in fairytales. I can imagine I am in a fairytale, the girl who sold the matches is my friend, the ugly duck becoming more and more beautiful and so on. What a beautiful place! So we can also call Christmas “Snowy Lovely Day.”
On Christmas Day, shops are red and green. There are so many Christmas cards, Christmas hats, Christmas dolls and many colourful things. So shops look very beautiful. We can give a card or a doll to our friends and say “Merry Christmas.” By the way, I think studying can also become much more interesting.

I have looked at Christmas: holly red
Secret Santa: rich pudding-fed:
Standing with my eyes shut, on tip toe
I’ve stood hopefully under mistletoe.
Now, like scrooge, I look at the season new
I smile less and party with few
And all the words of love now lie
Mock silently, ruffle and die.
I have looked at Christmas from both sides now
From happy and sad and still somehow
It’s not the season that I see
It’s my own candied fantasy.
But for you I wish the happy red show,
Stockings filled with family galore;
Soul food cooked in kitchens known
And sleep that is sound in a bed at home.
Because the spirit is not in wishing for ones self you see,
And the dreams and the hopes are for your fantasy
So I wish you this Christmas old love anew
And silent wishes that will do come true.
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
With thoughts of St. Nicholas and what he'd bring there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds
Without a moment of bowing their heads.
The scriptures were thrown on the shelves without care.
Little hope of remembering the precious words there.
And I with the tinsel and Ma with the lights
Had prepared for Christmas with no thoughts of Christ.
We had snowmen and elves and of course Santa Claus.
We thought we had decorated without any flaws.
For weeks we'd prepared with lots of traditions,
Cards of course and so much work in the kitchen.
We'd been to parties galore all dressed up in frills
And spent hours at stores to get the best deals.
The lights on the house were all flashing with fun
Lots of presents under the tree; we thought we were done.
We thought not of the needy, nor help to a stranger,
We thought not of the poor, and not of a manger.
No angels were singing in our house that night
We hadn't invited them so none were in sight.
The real spirit of Christmas was absent as well.
For only Christ's spirit will make our hearts swell.
And I wondered that Christmas how it could be
That the Christmas spirit wasn't stronger in me
Why Christmas didn't seem as it was in the past
Why Christmas just came and went by very fast.
When out of my wondering mind did appear.
Some scriptures I'd learned as a child so dear.
Of a loving kind Father who gave His own Son
God saw all our needs and chose Christ as the one.
Christ has the power to serve us so well
Healing the things that can lead to spiritual jail
I could change if I wanted with eyes that could see
“Come Follow Me,” was His only plea.
I decided to change and begged forgiveness please
And asked how to serve Him while down on my knees
Serve others and do it as if unto Him
Was the answer I heard in the sound of a hymn
I rushed from my bed and I got scriptures for all.
So we could start Christmas just right after all.
So Christmas day we planed for the months yet to come
Of people we'd serve and we talked of the fun
Now Angels are singing in our home today
We finally invited them to come our way.
And Christmas is lasting the whole long year through,
With scriptures, prayer and devotion His spirit grew.
英语书上左一个Christmas(圣诞节),右一个MerryChristmas(圣诞快乐);前一个Santa(圣诞老人),后一个Jesus’sChristmasday(耶稣的生日是圣诞节)。 Let’sgo!”

What are the origins of Christmas?
Christmas is the most popular holiday in America. Both the secular and the sacred celebrate it, but for different reasons. Some see it as the greatest business time of the year which is fueled by the buying and exchanging of gifts. Others consider it the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Then again, there are those who don’t care except that they get time off from work and have to buy people gifts. Either way, it is a very important holiday both commercially and spiritually.
The word ”Christmas“ comes from two old words: Christes maesse. It means, ”the Mass of Christ." This comes from the Catholic Mass, the practice where the priest re-offers the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross during the time of Communion.
“圣诞节(Christmas)”这个术语来源于两个词:“Christes” 和 “maesse”,意指“基督弥撒(the Mass of Christ)”。
