Two pals are sitting in a pub watching the eleven-'clock news。A reporter eson about a man threatening to jump from the 20th floor of a downtownbuilding。One friend turns to the other and says，'I'll bet you ten bucks the guydoesn't jump。'

'It's a bet，' agrees his buddy。

A few minutes later， the man on the ledge jumps，so the loser hands his pala $10 bill。'I can't take your money，'his friend admits。'I saw him jump earlieron the six-o'clock news。'

'Me，too，'says the other buddy。'But I didn't think he'd do it again。

Billy hare is hungry and finds a radish. What he picks it up, Mr. Fox is behind him and wants to eat him. “I’m hungry, too. You’re my dinner. I’m going to eat you,” he says.

Billy Hare is shocked, but he isn’t scared. He says, “Follow me. I have better food for you.”

They go to a well.

“Look down here,” Billy Hare says “There is something in the water. “What’s that?” Mr. Fox asks surprisingly. “It’s a big and fat hen. Let’s get down and fetch it.” Billy Hare says and gets down with a pail.

“Can you out the hen into the pail?” Mr. Fox shouts. “No. She’s too big,” Billy Hare says, “Come down, please. We can take her up together. Jump into the other pail.”

Mr. Fox does so. When he gets down, Billy Hare gets up. “Good-bye!” Billy Hare gets out of the well and says. Mr. Fox can’t get out.

While proudly showing off his new apartment to friends, a college student led the way into the den. “What is the big brass gong and hammer for?” one of his friends asked. “That is the talking clock,” the man replied. “How's it work?”

“Watch,” the man said and proceeded to give the gong an ear shattering pound with the hammer. Suddenly, someone screamed from the other side of the wall, “Knock it off, you idiot! It's two o'clock in the morning!”

“What are you in for?” asked the Governor.

“I held a high office,” the Convict humbly replied, “and sold subordinate appointments. ”

“Then I decline to interfere,” said the Governor, with asperity; “a man who abuses his office by making it serve a private end and purvey a personal advantage is unfit to be free. By the way, Mr. Warden,” he added to that official, as the Convict slunk away, “in appointing you to this position, I was given to understand that your friends could make the Shikane county delegation to the next State convention solid for - for the present Administration. Was I rightly informed?”

“You were, sir. ”

“Very well, then, I will bid you good-day. Please be so good as to appoint my nephew Night Chaplain and Reminder of Mothers and Sisters. ”

One woman lectured her best friend on the nature of the male animal. “Husbands are like wood fires; they go out if left unattened.”

george had a friend. his name was mark. one day george offered to take mark up in his plane. mark thought, ive travelled in a big plane several times, but ive never been in a small one, so ill go.

they went up, and george flew around for half an hour and did all kinds of tricks in the air.

when they came down again, mark was very glad to be back safely, and he said to his friend in a shaking voice, well, george, thank you very much for those two trips in your plane.
