个人陈述：突出自己的独特性

个人陈述从英文单词上来看，“personal”即突出自己的独特性。学校招生委员每天需要阅读上百份申请材料，只有充分强调自己的个性，抓住招生官的眼球，才有机会脱颖而出。不要一直觉得自己有多么平庸，一千个人眼中有一千个哈姆雷特，同样，每个人都有自己异于他人的亮点。多想想自己参与的活动，平时的经历，曾经的成就，一定能发掘到自己的'优势，并努力向招生官进行证明你就是the right one.

不同的申请方向，在个人陈述中要突出的重点必然不同。工科生需要重点强调自己的科研能力、动手能力，而商科生则需要重点强调领导力、协调力等。但总的来说，个人陈述需要阐述的不外乎以下方面：专业志向、成长背景与家庭环境、学习情况、科研社会实践、个人规划及职业目标等。

那么，个人陈述的写作过程中应该注意哪些问题?

1)最好有一个能吸引人的开头;

2)在描述任何经历或事件时，强调深度，而非广度;

3)基于现实，来描写自己的优劣势。相比于一帆风顺的人，招生官更倾向于战胜挫折、从困难中爬出来的申请者;

推荐信：寻找最了解自己的人

推荐信就是从推荐人的角度(如专业课老师，班主任、单位领导等)来评价申请人，同时给申请人个人提供关于个人学习、经历、素质及能力等提供佐证。

在推荐信的写作中应该注意哪些问题?

1)如何找推荐人：这是相当重要的一环。不要过分追求推荐人的职位、声望有多高，而更应该寻找最了解自己的人。比如相处几年的班主任老师，对你有高度评价的某专业课老师，或者实习单位的部门负责人等。

2)推荐信写什么：推荐人与申请者的关系，申请者学习能力，申请者的学习潜力，申请者在学业上的表现，申请者在科研工作上的能力，申请者的沟通能力、其他品行等。

3)推荐信注意什么：不宜写得太全，给人弄虚作假的感觉。应该根据实际情况，有重点地来突出申请者的能力。更不宜堆砌辞藻，过分夸大。

个人简历：筛选出有含金量的

个人陈述中只能大致介绍1-2个关于申请者参加过的活动，更多的活动经历、获奖情况，则需要在个人简历中体现。从教育背景，到学习成就、科研项目、实习经历、社会实践、各种奖项、掌握的技能等，申请者可以通过一定的顺序在简历中进行罗列。但需要注意的是，简历，不是把所有的奖项、活动通通列出来，而一定要筛选出有含金量的，突出重点后进行整齐地排版。

小论文：最重要的是明确主题

一般来说，小论文更多地出现在商科的网申系统中。常见的小论文有：详细描述你曾经的一项活动;简单讲述你曾经碰到的道德两难的经历;为什么你觉得该学校能很好地帮助你;如果你现在的GPA不高，请进行详细解释，等等。面对各种小论文，最重要的就是明确主题，突出自己的想法与观点。同时，还要注意题目中对字数的限制，以免提交时被自动扣除。

美国留学学制的设置介绍

一、学期制

这和国内高校的学制安排是一样的，每一学年分为两个学期，每美个学期安排14-20周的课程，学习的时间在九个月左右，每学期会安排一周的时间作为考试周，大家完成课程的考核。

三、三学期制

My A level choices were chosen around the subject of dance. I am studying Performing Arts, Dance and Philosophy and Ethics. I chose Performing Arts as this included dance, drama and music. Through this experiment, I became lover finance major than before, because it not only brought me model and data but also interest on (in) connecting knowledge with practices to make data and model vivid. Even each new idea produced different result. Finance is not a material concept but is social science, which contains a wider scope. I am very glad to involving discovering unknown things in this field. Just like discussion, many members’ thoughts inspired me and we got satisfied results. Finance is a social science which embodied human being is the essential. We could cultivate our academic taste during the learning symposia and academic discussion process. In the practices we could cultivate intuition added combination with academic background and mathematic theory; we could understand finance better.

So I pay attention to connect theory and practices more than before, in my spare time I took part in social practices, for example I visited “international finance” of newspaper office and “Shanghai stock exchange”, besides I took part in planning for the “second finance year meeting” in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The fundamental problem here is that China lacks unemployment and social security programs, which would be able to assist and re-train these workers should they be laid off. As there are no options for them, the companies are forced to retain these laborers, creating a stagnant state which limits both production levels and net profits. While foreign-imported goods and foreign companies were scare in China, this was not a major problem. However, the influx of foreign goods and corporations has forced China into a predicament where it can no longer afford to maintain useless employees for the benefit of the State. Should the situation here continue unchecked, China risks loosing its domestic marked to foreign companies.

These ideas were the result of my field research conducted during my junior year. During that time, I studied first-hand edly China’s system of public economics and found it lacking in many ways. I feel that if China is ever to be a serious competitor in the world market it needs first to develop a more progressive system of public policies. For this, China will have to look to other systems, which have struggled and successfully handled this same problem. My goal is to continue my education in the United States where I can not only witness the dynamics of an economic system different from ours, but also study the ways in which America’s public policy could be adapted and utilized by China.

In terms of global economics, China still has much to learn. The government is far from reconciling itself with many of the principles that underlie the modern market. Since first being able to play on ”Paint box" at lower school, I have always had a fond interest in computers. My decision to study computing at higher education level was an easy one. In design, I am currently making an office desk, which I thoroughly enjoy. I think that using ICT in this way has lead to a significant improvement in my work. In Media Studies, I have developed my analytical skills, through comparing the view part of different films.

My current study of ICT is focused around a problem solution at the minute. From a previous job, I have decided to make a database system for ordering supplies for a pharmacy.
