我国历史悠久，有许多传统文化。其中，我最喜欢武术。武术是我国独有的，外国人称为“中国功夫”。
中国武术起源于古代战争。传说炎黄时代，东方有个以野牛为族徽的蚩尤部落，崇尚武技，勇猛善斗，特别善于摔跌。他们头戴牛角或剑戟样的装束，与人交斗时，除了拳打脚踢之外，他们善于抓扭、用头顶触对方，使对方不敢靠近，这就叫“蚩尤戏”。蚩尤的角抵是一种徒手搏斗，既可以用于战场，又可以用于平时演练。随着生产力的'发展，武术也进入新的阶段。战国时期，诸侯纷争，战争频繁，士兵们在战争中掌握的一些搏击竞技技巧经过慢慢的发展与演化，就形成了后来的中国武术。
武术分为两种，分别器械武术和拳术。器械武术：按照一定程式舞弄刀、枪、棍、棒等器械，形成固定的武术套路，就叫做器械武术。拳术：赤手空拳操练的武术套路、技法都称拳术。拳术也有拳种、流派，如太极拳、长拳、形意拳、八卦掌、南拳、醉拳。
我喜欢武术是因为它可以用于进攻、自卫、锻炼身体。
