Hello, boys and girls. Welcome to listen to our English broadcast.同学们，大家好!欢迎大家收听校园英语广播，
We are from Class One, Grade Five. Im ImNice to meet you .我们是你们的.朋友，很高兴在这里和你度过快乐的10分钟。
在今天的节目里首先进入我们的第一个版块Say you, say me.说你，说我。

B.行了行了，你也别拐弯抹角了，快点把我们今天要说的主题告诉大家吧
A.好吧，今天我们给大家带来的是在说英语的国家常用的十种手势。
B. One, cash：右手的大拇指.食指和中指在空中捏在一起或在另一只手上作出写字的样子，这是表示在饭馆要付帐的手势。
A. Two, use your brain:用手指点点自己的太阳穴,就表示要动动脑筋。
B. Three, fool:用大拇指按住鼻尖摇动其余四指，或十个手指分开。也常常用食指对着太阳穴转动，同时吐出舌头，表示所谈到的人是个痴呆傻瓜。
A. Four, lying: 讲话时，无意识地将一食指放在鼻子下面或鼻子边时，表示别人一定会理解为讲话人讲的不是真话难以置信。 B. Five, agreement:向上翘起拇指,则表示赞同。
A. Six, congratulation：双手在身前嘴部高度相搓的动作表示对别人的祝贺。
B. Seven, thats all：两臂在腰部交叉，然后再向下，向身体两侧伸出,这个动作表示没有希望了，完了。
A. Eight, shame：双臂伸直，向下交叉，两掌反握，同时脸转向一侧,这是一个表达害羞的动作。

G1; 中国人的传统美德是谦虚谨慎，面对恭维和夸奖应是推辞。如：有人夸您“ Your English is very good.”您的英语讲得真好。”中国人就会说“过奖，过奖，讲得不好。有人夸你“ You are a nice girl.”“你长得真漂亮！”中国人说“哪里，哪里”。
B： I have heard a joke like this. 有一则笑话说，一位外国朋友夸一位女士“ You are really beautiful.” 那位女士非常不好意思说，“哪里， 哪里！” 外国朋友一愣，忙说“ your eyes, your nose and your mouth, are all beautiful.”
G2: If you don’t the western countries’ culture, you maybe make a joke.
是啊，如果你不了解西方国家的风俗文化，说不定就会闹出笑话来呢。
B： What can westerners do? 那么西方人会怎么做呢？
G1; 西方人从来不过分谦虚，对恭维一般表示谢意，表现出一种自强自信的信念。如：“You can speak very good English.”他们会说“Thank you.”“It’s a wonderful dish！” “您做的菜真好吃!”他们会说“I am glad you like it.” 很高兴您喜欢。
B：所以，当说英语的人称赞你时，千万不要回答：“No，I don’t think so.”这种回答在西方人看来是不礼貌的，甚至是虚伪的。随着社会的发展，我们已经越来越能理解中西方国家不同的文化，所以，同学们这种笑话您可别闹啊！
G1: 关于打电话，我们中国人和西方人也是不一样。 Do you know how to make a telephone call to our friends？中国人打电话时的用语与平时讲话用语没有多少差异。“喂，您好。麻烦您叫一声王伟接电话。”“我是张英，请问您是谁？” 英语中打电话与平时用语差别很大。如：“Hello，this is John speaking.” “May I speak to Tom ,please？” “Is that Mary speaking？” “Who’s that?”
G2: 西方人一接到电话一般都先报自己的号码或者工作单位的名称。如“Hello，xxx，this is Jim.” 我们学生刚开始学英语会犯这样的错误： “Hello，who are you please？”

The Hare and the Tortoise One day a hare met with a tortoise at the foot of a hill. “Hello, little Tortoise! Where are you going? How short your legs are!” said the hare. “ I am going over to the hill. I am a slow runner, but I can run a race with you,” said the tortoise. “All right. Let's run a race with you to the top of the hill,” said the hare. The hare and the tortoise started. The hare ran very fast. The hare said to himself, “ I can much faster than the tortoise, and I may have a little nap here.” So the hare lay down under a tree and was fast asleep. But the tortoise did not stop for a moment. He walked on and on. At last he got to the top of the hill. The hare woke up and looked around, but he could not see the tortoise. He sprang up and ran as fast as he could.
