When you look at the sky on a clear day, it seems as if the earth is covered by a blue dome①. The sky is blue because of what happens to sunlight as it enters the earth＇s atmosphere. Sunlight is made up of light rays of all lengths. The longer rays make up red light and the shorter rays make up blue light. As the sun gets lower in the sky, the light rays must pass through more air,and so the longer orange and red rays also become scattered. If you stand at a place where the surface of the earth is flat, the sky seems to meet the earth in any direction you look. The point at which the sky and the earth seem to“meet”is called the horizon. On 2nd May, I visited my relatives with my parents, we had a great lunch together, the resturant were crowded as well.On 3rd May, we went to shopping in the mall, after the shopping we went to watch a new movie. Nowadays, with the improvement of the people’s living standard, some people form a habit of raising small or domestic animals as pets. Does anyone have the same opinion of raising animals as pets? No, some people object to the idea of raising animals as pets. To them, animals have their own right to live a natural life like human beings. On the other hand, the way people raise animals as pets have a negative influence on the surroundings such as dogs’ barking at midnight, dogs’ chasing people on the street and so on. What’s more, some animals will transmit some diseases.
