刚开始读《小王子》时，一下子就被那清新文笔和单纯世界所吸引。在深读之后，却为小王子那慑人心魂的忧伤而心悸，为他纯洁而执着的爱所感动，也为自己那逐渐泯灭的童心而哀悼。世上的人总是空虚、盲目、愚妄和死板教条，但小王子不是。他身上所携带的爱与责任，是广阔无垠的撒哈拉沙漠上的一湾清泉，滋润了即将渴死的迷途者，冷却了旅途急躁不安的怒火，带给世人最舒适的心灵之水。
有人这是一个属于成人的童话，属于曾经有过童心的成年人的童话，孩子们是无法体会小王子彻骨的忧伤和沉重的爱，他们也不应该过早地体会这些，他们应该在阳光明媚的世界里享受着快乐的时光。这与其说是一个童话，不如说是一个悲剧。童话里的主人公总是像白雪公主或灰姑娘一样，幸福美满地生活。而忧伤的小王子却在发现爱的真谛后死在沙漠里。但我觉得正是这样的与众不同，造就了小王子，那样一个独一无二的小王子。
小说的情节很简单，主要是从“我”的角度讲述小王子的游历过程。因为一朵美丽而娇气的玫瑰，小王子离开了一直平静地生活着的B—612小游星，他先后游历了六个星球，在这些星球上，他遇到一些他觉得很不可理喻的大人，例如狂妄自大的国王，财迷心窍的.商人、迂腐的点灯人……
于是他不断的感慨，“大人的世界确实奇怪。”在这里作者以小王子的孩子式的眼光，透视出这些大人们的空虚、盲目和愚妄，也道出了成人的孤独寂寞、无所适从的处境。最后他来到了地球。在这里他遇到了一只狐狸，这只狐狸给他解决了那朵娇气的小玫瑰给他带来的对爱的疑惑，使他明白，爱意味着责任，意味着慈悲，有了爱，生活里的一切才有了意义。
我们在得到的同时都会失去，可是当我们同一些事物“建立某种关系”后，得到与失去都已变得不再重要。重要的是，以一种平和的心态去对待，无论结局是喜是悲，至少我们还拥有麦子的颜色。

我们人类似乎偏爱于一个叫“更好的东西”，例如我们喜欢更大的房子，更好的汽车，更美丽的外表，更华贵的首饰。为此，我们不惜更忙碌的工作，一天到晚做着所谓的“正经事”，我们已经没有闲暇做一些没有回报但是富有想象力的事情。但是这种“更好的东西”真的是我们所需要的吗？得到了，我们的生活就会美好吗？

Well, now I can say, with my short sixteen-year’slife experience, it’s like the stars in the sky that lit my heart. Nevertheless, when I read this book, I feel a little sad C about ourselves, whom are losing more and more innocence.
