NO.9 The One Where Underdog Gets Away
本集故事情节如下：Joey为卫生机构的海报当模特，后来方知那是治疗性病的广告,被大家嘲笑而且也泡不到妞。Ross发现Susan在为Carol肚里的孩子念书听，不甘示弱决定照做。感恩节即将到来，因父母外出，R&M开始准备自己的感恩节大餐；Phoebe要和他俩一起庆祝，因为她向来同祖母一起过感恩节，而祖母的新男友用阴历不用阳历，他们家将在12月才过感恩节。Joey也加入了，因为他家里人以为他有性病。Chandler力图抵制感恩节因为当年他的父母在节日那天宣布离婚；Rachel的如意算盘则是和家人去山里滑雪。庆典游行当中大气球脱线飞走了；大家都跑上楼顶去看热闹，结果忘带钥匙全被关在了Monica的门外；晚饭烧焦了，Rachel误掉了班机，大家只好吃Chandler的奶酪三明治和洋葱小食品作为晚餐。

本集故事就发生在Thanksgiving（感恩节）的大背景下，这个节日始于16。那年秋天，远涉重洋来到美洲的英国移民，为了感谢上帝赐予的丰收，举行了3天的狂欢活动。从此，这一习俗就沿续下来，并逐渐风行各地。1863年，美国总统林肯正式宣布感恩节为国定假日。届时，家家团聚，举国同庆，其盛大、热烈的情形，不亚于中国人过春节，在美国甚至比圣诞节还要隆重，这个节日里面，饭桌上火鸡（Turkey）和南瓜饼(Pumpkin Pie)是必不可少的菜肴，因此又叫火鸡节，这些希望能够在观看的时候慢慢体会。
2. Ross: Will you make the mashed potatoes with the lumps?感恩节的食品里也少不了土豆的身影，因为父母去了波多黎各（Porto Rico），所以这次的盛宴将由Monica来筹备，Ross就提出了要他喜欢的马铃薯泥、土豆泥(mashed potatoes)，没想到后面Joey和Phoebe也先后提出了要求，此乃后话，且不表。Mash，意为捣碎，加上-ed，动词形容词化，修饰potatoes。
3. Monica: And I assume, Chandler, you are still boycotting all the pilgrim holidays.英美很多节日都和宗教有关系，所以Monica这里说“pilgrim holidays”，pilgrim意思是朝圣者、旅行者或者清教徒的意思。Boycott本来是一个人名，后来演变成专有名词，意思是“拒绝出席、拒绝参加、抵制反抗、经济制裁”等。
4. Ross: Look, if she's talking to it, I just think that I should get some belly time too. Not that I believe any of this.“belly time”，翻译成腹部时间么？现在不可以，还记得以前的那个Alan-bashing么？常有这些表面上看起来莫名其妙的组合词组，这时候需要意译，结合上下文，知道这里Ross想表达的是他也想花点时间去进行胎教。“Not that I believe any of this”，这是一个强调句型，相当于I don’t belive any of this，Ross一方面不想让Susan一个人独享同胎儿亲近的机会，另一方面又非着重强调他是个PHD的身份,不相信这一套。在托福考试听力部分也常有这种用法。比如M:I hear the hocky game was packed. W:Not an empty seat in the house!Just standing room only.第一个人说：“我听说曲棍球比赛爆满了。第二个人回答说：“场地里没有空位置了，只有站的地方。”，这里第二个人说话时也把Not 着重强调。
5. Chandler: I'd just like to say that I'm totally behind this experiment. In fact, I'd very much like to butter your head.这里总结一下，表示支持、赞同有哪些表达方法，Chandler用了一个be behind sb/sth,其他的还有：agree with, go along with,back up,on the side of,support等等，当然了还有一个最简单地表达法：be with sb，以及Friedns主题曲中的I’ll be there for you.“'d very much like to butter your head”中，very much又提前了，不同于我们常说的Thank you very much，这里还是表示强调。
6. Monica: We all chipped in. chip in除了插嘴的意思之外，还有凑钱、捐款、赞助的意思。比如：I'm very sorry that I can only afford to chip in a few dollars this time.很抱歉这次我只能捐助区区几块钱了。Donate就显得正式多了，书面语中常见。The businessman donated a lot of money to the hospital. 这个商人捐给医院很多钱。论坛上也有号召捐款的帖子，个人以为不如改为凑份儿更合适。
7. Monica: (hands Chandler a bag) Chandler, here you go, got your traditional Thanksgiving feast, you got your tomato soup, your grilled cheese fixin's, and your family size bag of Funyuns.
Rachel: Wait, wait, Chandler, this is what you're havin' for Thanksgiving dinner? What, what, what is it with you and this holiday? “fixin's”＝fixings配菜，“Funyuns” 1969年百事可乐的菲多利推出的Funyuns牌洋葱味小食品。需要指出的是，百事并不只是生产饮料，在69年就提出了。“你们的生活丰富多彩，百事的产品同样丰富多彩”的广告主题。这点国内的朋友可以了解的要少一些。Chandler因为父母在感恩节那天宣布离婚，从此之后Chandler就对所有的宗教色彩节日反感，于是Monica给他装了西红柿汤、烤奶酪以及一些小食品给他。这其中故事大家都很熟悉了，只有Rachel不清楚，所以她不解地问：你和这节日怎么回事呀？（what is it with you and this holiday），这句话应该熟记，以后有什么觉得好奇的时候，就不用生硬的去问what’s wrong 或者what’s the matter了。
8. Chandler: Yes. It's very difficult to appreciate a Thanksgiving dinner once you've seen it in reverse. Reverse可以做形容词，表示颠倒的、反常的或者向后转的，如：a reverse gear.

A ticker-tape parade is a parade event, held in a downtown urban setting, allowing the jettison of large amounts of shredded paper products from nearby buildings onto the parade route, creating a triumphal effect by the snowstorm like flurry.
The term originated in New York City and is still most closely associated with it. The term ticker-tape refered originally to the use of the paper output of ticker tape machines, which were remotely-driven devices used in brokerages to provide updated Stock Market quotes. NO.6 The One With the Butt
本集故事情节如下：Joey的新音乐剧《弗洛伊德》（《Freud》）上演了，大家一起去欣赏。在演出现场，Chandler邂逅一位美丽而富于异国风情的女郎Aurora，并开始同她约会。Joey因为那次演出被Leonard演艺公司相中，该公司给Joey为艾尔·帕西诺(Al Pacino)作其屁股替身的表演机会,结果Joey因表演过火而痛失良机。Rachel破天荒头一遭打扫了公寓，但她却移动了绿色软椅(Green ottoman)，使Monica感觉不爽。Chandler发现Aurora已婚且另有男友，心里非常矛盾，当她继续下一次猎男友行动时，Chandler终于决定退出。
1.Chandler: You can always spot someone who's never seen one of his plays before. 5. Chandler: Thank God you didn't try to fan out the magazines. I mean, she'll scratch your eyes right out.。没想到Monica做事一向井井有条，对于Rach擅作主张改变屋子里的状况很是不满，尤其发现Rach还动了那个绿色软椅后更是很不高兴。Chandler不失时机的又火上浇油，说还好Rach没把杂志也给弄乱了，否则眼珠子都会被Monica挖出来（scratch your eyes right out）。“fan out”成扇形散开，这里可以译作（扇状）摊开。
6. Chandler: Someone's left a glass on the coffee table. There's no coaster. It's a cold drink, it's a hot day. “sense a little bit of resentment”这个用法比较地道，“我怎么感觉到了一点儿怨恨的味道？”，Chandler马上反驳说没有，他接下来的一段话可以转换形式记下来，“In a relationship,we have some key moments that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives.”在恋爱的时候，我们会有一些（关键的）甜蜜时刻永远记得。
8. Director: I think his butt would like to get this shot before lunch. Once again, rolling... water working... and action....and cut. What was that? shot子弹、炮弹、开枪、射击，这里则是机会的意思。可怜的Joey,虽然只是出演butt，对于他来说居然也是个shot,希望他别blow it.
我觉得get this shot,应该解释成拍完洗澡这一段镜头即导演的意思是说在午饭前完成Butt double这段。Shot确切地说有在电视上露头的意思。
9. Chandler: I know there'll be many moments in the years to come when I'll regret asking the following question, but- And Andrew is?同7一样，作为一种表达方式记下来。Regret doing sth,后悔做某事。Chandler在以后的日子里很可能会有很多次（many moments）后悔问了这样的问题。
10. Chandler: ...Well, y'know, part of me wants that, but it's like I'm two guys, y'know? I mean, one guy's going 'Shut up! This is great!' But there's this other guy. Janice给Chandler买了一双卡通袜，而且本来心情也不好，所以Chandler怎么也开不了口。Joey想拆散前女友Angena和其现男友Bob，决定带上Monica约两人出
来,他对Monica隐瞒真相，只说Angena和Bob是兄妹。Ross约好和Rachel、Monica同去自助洗衣店，而Monica因为被Joey骗走而缺席，只剩下他们两人来到洗衣
房，从未洗过衣服的Rachel将所有的白色衣物全漂成了粉红色，Rachel为首次洗衣而兴奋不已，向Ross献香吻一个，傻Ross却兴奋地把头撞伤了。

样地把bra 从衣服的袖子里拿出来真是太神奇了， maneuver 这个词源自法语，本意是“体力劳动”，在英语中作名词时是“策略、巧计、花招”的意思，在
这里表示一种很巧妙的动作或手法。另外再看一下bamm，这是一个象声词，一声枪响就可以用bam来形容，但它经常被用来表示 “突然、一下子”的意思。

No.2 The One With the Sonogram at the End
上集说道Rach和Ross分别经历了感情镇痛，这一集开始，Ross得知前妻Carol有了身孕，被迫同Carol的同志伴侣Susan一起，陪Carol参加助产训练班。Ross和Monica的父母来吃饭，由于Monica从小就在家里不如Ross优秀，所以再次感到巨大压力，只好抖出Ross和Carol的事情。Ross和Rachel同病相怜,Rachel把戒指还给Barry, 结果发现，Barry不仅没有寻死觅活，反而过的很开心，原来他已经和Rachel的伴娘Mindy好上了。这一集里面我选了十多个句子简单讲解下。(PS:上次写了一之后，很多坛子上的朋友提出了很多意见，大部分我都虚心接受了，在修订版中，我会都改正过来。我的英语估计也就四级水平，所以所写的只能是抛砖引玉。其实这里很多英语高手，希望大家能一起Continue...如果可能的话，我想联系一下朋友，看看是否可能结集出版。)
1．Rachel: Everything you need to know is in that first kiss. 几个好朋友在一起聊性的话题，Monica说男人不懂接吻的重要性，Joey根本不屑一顾，于是Rachel说了这样一句话，意思是：初吻可以让你明白一切。呵呵，是不是想起自己的初吻了？
2．Chandler: Yeah, I think for us, kissing is pretty much like an opening act, y'know? I mean it's like the stand-up comedian you have to sit through before Pink Floyd comes out. 3．Marsha: Well, she has issues. Issues在这里是烦恼、问题的意思，以后碰到别人好像闷闷不乐的时候，你就可以上前来上一句Do you have any issues?
4．Carol: Marty's still totally paranoid.Carol去Museum里找Ross,Ross非常尴尬，于是没话找话问Carol的家人怎么看待她是Lesbian的事儿，于是Carol告诉他，马堤仍然神经兮兮的。Paranoid这个单词是类似妄想狂的意思，有点histerical的意思。
5．Rachel: Oh, like I wasn't dreading tomorrow enough, having to give it back to him... 'Hi Barry! Remember me? I'm the girl in the veil who stomped on your heart in front of your entire family!' Oh God and now I'm gonna have to return the ring, without the ring, which makes it so much harder...这里“stomp on one’s heart”stomp是用脚踏的意思，可以想象用脚踏在心上是什么意思了吧，对，就是让人心碎的意思。
6．Chandler: Kinda puts that whole pillow thing in perspective, huh, Mon?“kinda”在片中出现的次数非常频繁，也是口语中非常实用的词语，意思是有一点儿，相当于kind of.这句话的意思比较令人费解，结合场景，这里应该是Chandler挖苦Monica不该早些把枕头提前完全搞好。In perspective这里是提前的意思。
7．Monica: I know this is going to sound unbelievably selfish, but, were you planning on bringing up the whole baby/lesbian thing? Because I think it might take some of the heat off me.Ross和Monica的父母来看望他们，由于从小父母就喜欢Ross（因为Ross成绩优异，为人老实，而Monica性格独立，而且那时候还很胖chubby）,所以在吃饭的时候老是无意识的讽刺Monica,于是Monica想让Ross提提自己老婆是Lesbian而且有了孩子的事儿转移注意力。Take some of the heat off sb,这里是帮Monica减轻压力的意思。
8．Mrs. Geller: Well, at least she had the chance to leave a man at the altar...“at the altar”应该理解为“在婚礼上，在举行婚礼时”，altar这里就可以理解为”教堂“，所以这句话的意思，我认为应该是：（虽然Rachel的父母为筹备婚礼花了不少钱，而Rachel又逃婚），但是至少Rachel还有机会在举行婚礼之际离开那个男人，（言下之意，Monica到现在连个结婚还都没有）。
9．Mr. Geller: Look, there are people like Ross who need to shoot for the stars, with his museum, and his papers getting published. Other people are satisfied with staying where they are- I'm telling you, these are the people who never get cancer. “shoot for”是争取、得到或完成的意思。老爸盖勒也似乎对女儿不太友好，他一方面赞扬Ross，一方面不忘贬低Monica,说她满足于现状不思进取，说她这样的人绝对不会得癌症…
10. Ross: Well, you may wanna steer clear of the word 'dumped'. Chances are he's gonna be this, this broken shell of a man, y'know, so you should try not to look too terrific, I know it'll be hard. Or, y'know, uh, hey!, I'll go down there, and I'll give Barry back his ring, and you can go with Carol and Susan to the OB/GYN... “wanna”=want to,口语中常这样子简化，类似得还有”gonna”,就是going to得意思。Steer是驾驶掌舵的意思，“steer clear of the word”意思就是好好驾驭这个词的意思，暗示Rach不要随便乱用“dumped”，因为他作为一个男人自尊可能会受伤害，所以虽然这样做很难，但是还是不要显得太神采飞扬。“terrific”口语中多半用来表示赞赏,虽然它的本意是“令人恐慌的，糟糕的”。
11. Ross: How could I forget? 我觉得这句话应该熟记，这样你就可以咬牙切齿的对某个人，某件事说“how could I forget?”，我怎么能忘记呢？打死我也不会忘记的。可以想见Ross当时的神态了吧，真有种欲杀Susan而后快的感觉。
12. Ross: 'S'funny, um, uh, we agreed we'd spend the rest of our lives together. Things change, roll with the punches. I believe Julia's on the table..?“roll with the punches”punch除了打孔机的意思之外，还有打击的意思，这里应该是说，让这些打击减轻一些吧（Roll就是滚的意思，那当然是减轻了）。“on the table”是“在桌面上，公开的”意思，Ross认为如果他和Carol的孩子是女儿的话，应该光明堂皇的叫做Julia。
13．Chandler: I dunno, but.. I think it's about to attack the Enterprise. “dunno”是don’t know的缩写，Chandler和Joey被逼着看sonogram的录像带，可是看得一头雾水，Chandler居然说似乎是胎儿要进攻了。

这里该是Masha和Ross调侃的一段话，没有什么特殊含义，可是Ross却非常较劲儿，居然真的和Masha讨论起来究竟那些Mannequin所代表的原始人的烦恼起来，还说他们应该真正担心的是冰河世纪的到来......真不接风情，还好这时候Carol来了，解了Masha的围。

前两回合（101、102）已经基本上把Friends的主要人物和性格特点展现出来了，从103开始，观众的重点可以放在情节的铺开上，这部情景剧每一集都有一个或者多个故事，但又都同前面的故事相衔接，因此既可以独立成章，又保持了连贯性，这也是能够经久不衰的原因之一吧。

Passion is way overrated.Rachel说了自己对于Passion的看法，Ross认为她过高估计了Passion,什么是Passion?Passion是一种非常强烈的感情，炽热的激情，不仅仅是喜爱，也可以是憎恨、厌恶。例如：He's been known to fly into a passion without warning.意思是他以动不动就发火而闻名。Way overrated,overrate对什么估计高了，前面加上一个way，就是估计的过高了的意思，way这里作副词，表示远远地、大大地。记得在《Sleepless in Seattle》里面，出现了一个way stupid，意思是太蠢了，蠢的够可以。

take time 意思是从容进行，当Joey好心好意劝他抓紧时间行动时候，他一开始是否认，接着就给自己借口说自己是在打基础（lay the groundwork）,说自己是每天都在越来越接近Rachel, Joey看得如此明白，不等他话说完，就说他不是变得越来越接近Rachel，而是越来越像个神父（Priesthood），stuck是stick的过去式，同主题曲中的stuck in the second gear意思相同，停留在、卡在的意思，Joey说如果你不赶快行动，你们就将永远停留在朋友的区间了。

NO.4 The One With George Stephanopoulos
这一集主要情节如下：10月20号是Ross和前妻Carol初次云雨的纪念日，如今却形影相吊，Ross心烦意乱，遂跟随Chandler和Joey去看曲棍球(hockey)比赛，不料遭球击中。在医院里，Ross透露说Carol是同他有过亲密关系的唯一女性。Chandler和Joey同感不屑。Rachel的昔日闺中密友来访,她们不是事业有成就是嫁夫生子，见旁人春风得意，Rachel不禁有些怨天尤人。Phoebe头天晚上没睡好，于是和Monica、Rach三人办了一场睡衣（Pajamas）派对，Phoebe本想用魔豆的故事安慰Rachel，却让三人都想到自己的人生没有明确的目标，情绪低迷；后来因为送错的披萨，她们发现了在街对面的迷人的史特喷那彼拉斯先生，顿时欢天喜地,在走廊上偷窥起来。
1.Phoebe: Okay, okay. If I were omnipotent for a day, I would want, um, world peace, no more hunger, good things for the rain-forest...And bigger boobs! 几个老友一起聊天，Phoebe说如果她能做一天无所不能的上帝，她就会希望世界和平、没有饥饿、不会滥伐森林以及有大的boobs。Phoebe心地很善良，从上一集她把意外之财送给无家可归的流浪人就可窥见一斑，所以她的愿望都是关于人类发展生存的，当然咯，她也没忘说需要大的boobs，呵呵，想必是小小的恶作剧，挖苦一下Monica吧。Boob常见的意思是蠢材、笨蛋，不过在俚语中也有胸脯、乳房的意思。这之后更精彩的是Joey，他也没听清楚别人到底讨论什么，就来了一句，说如果是他的话，不如死掉算了，大家莫名其妙，还好Ross最了解他。原来，Joey听成如果他阳痿（impotent）了……，呵呵，搞笑吧,看来这部电视剧中很多有关Sex的笑话哦。
2. Ross: Today's the day Carol and I first.. consummated our physical relationship. (Joey is puzzled.) Sex. ..You know what, I-I'd better pass on the game. I think I'm just gonna go home and think about my ex-wife and her lesbian lover.这话也只有考古学家（paleontologist）的Ross能说得出来了，居然会用consummate physical relationship来形容他和Carol的第一次。另外一个词组是pass on sth,相当于let sth pass,它还有去世（相当于pass away）和传递的意思，有时候我们也可以说pass on my best wish to sb,请代为转达我最美好的祝愿。
3. Ross: Alright, alright, maybe it'll take my mind off it. Do you promise to buy me a big thumb finger? 这里的big thumb finger可能有些费解，不过联系上集中Phoebe喝汽水喝出7000美刀，就可明白了。整句意思是Ross最后同意去看曲棍球比赛，因为可能可以让他不去想和Carol一起的事情，不过要chandler请喝汽水。
4.Rachel: God, isn't this exciting? I earned this. I wiped tables for it, I steamed milk for it, and it was totally—(opens envelope)—not worth it. Who's FICA? Why's he getting all my money? I mean, what- Chandler, look at that.Rach非常兴奋，因为终于发工资了，对于一个以前一直在父母温床下生活的人来说，抹桌子、热牛奶还真不容易（虽然总是把别人要的东西搞错），她乐坏了，可是马上发现她的钱都被FICA拿走了，FICA是Federal Insurance Contributions Act的缩写，是联邦社会保险捐款法的意思。
5. Chandler: Excuse me, look, we've been here for over an hour, and a lot of people less sick than my friend have gone in. I mean, that guy with the toe thing? Who's he sleeping with? (She slides the gladd panel over and Chandler talks through it in a loud voice.) Oh, c'mon Dora, don't be mad... I know we both said some things we didn't mean, but that doesn't mean we still don't love each other. (To the waiting room.) Y'know, I feel like I've lost her.. (She slides the panel back, he turns, and it takes him by surprise.) Ba-!三个好友一起去看冰球赛，结果Ross光荣负伤，于是紧急送到医院，不料那个值班员正在煲电话粥，态度不好，Chandler好言好语却毫无效果，于是发了点小脾气，没料到吃了闭门羹，所以他阴阳怪气的来了一段台词….
6. Ross: I remember the moonlight coming through the window- and her face had the most incredible glow.温柔的月光透过窗户照在她的脸上，显得神采奕奕、容光焕发。真是情人眼里出西施啊。
7. Kid: I found it. Finders keepers, losers weepers. (Ross looks at Chandler for help.) 小时候大家都玩过的赖皮童谣，东西掉了，谁拣到的就是谁的。
8. Ross: (to the kid) Oh yeah? Well, I'm rubber, you're glue, whatever—(to Chandler)—can't do it. (to the kid) Listen, uh- gimme back my puck.Ross用重创换来的puck居然被小孩拿去了，还阵阵有词的说谁拣到就归谁，Chandler怂恿他也来一段儿童谣，他鼓足勇气说了一半，终究还是捺不下面子。“I’m rubber,you’re glue，whatever (you say bounces off me and stick to you)”在Friends中出现了好几次，这里显然也是小孩子们拌嘴皮子时候用的。意思是我是橡皮你是胶水，你说的所有坏话都会反弹回去粘在你身上，引申过来也就是：你说我坏话实际就是骂你自己。
puck除了冰球的意思之外，还有恶作剧的小精灵的意思（来自一个英格兰民间传说）。

1. ”The glass is half empty.“
有这样的一种比喻“如果有一个只装了一半水的水杯，乐观者认为‘水杯有一半是满得’悲观者则认为‘有一半是空的’”，这就是“pessimist”和“The glass is half empty.”关系的由来。
CHAN说的“Mr. ”The glass is half empty.“”确实等于pessimist（悲观主义者）的意思，当ROSS说“我猜你们是因为多出来一张票而不知道叫谁一起去，所以才叫我的”，现在爱搞笑的CHAN又开始发挥他的幽默去企图否认ROSS的看法，于是狡辩到：“哈哈，你以为我们像这么悲观的人吗？（潜台词是：你以为我们真的是惨到找不到其他的人一起去才找你吗？）”呵呵，其实CHAN的幽默对中国人来说，有时候理解起来会有点费劲～～意会吧！
2.《Jack and Magicbeans》的故事啦，我想应该是那个“种了一颗越长越高的豆苗，然后JACK就顺着豆苗爬到天上去了…………”的故事吧，anyway，古怪的Phoe其实用了个不是很贴切的故事去比喻Rach现在的情况（不过Phoe就是这样子的啦～），简单来说，就是Rach用Jack放弃了一头牛来比喻她自己放弃了Barry这个正牙牙医（因为在美国，牙医和律师都是收入很高且受人尊重的职业），但她自己又不爱Barry，所以Phoe又傻乎乎的冒出一句“（但不同的是），Jack爱他的牛呀！”我想编剧这样安排是想有一点表现Phoe性格的效果啦，所以，还是那句…………意会啦！
3.You have no idea how loud they are!
Pheebs这样说就是为了表达“her grandmother and her bf are having sex ”，其实也是编剧比较搞笑的一个地方，意思是“我奶奶和她的新男朋友都是那种在床上十分insecure没有安全感（也就是没自信）的人，加上他们都是聋子，所以他们需要不断的去求证对方对此（sex）是否享受，你根本无法想象他们有多吵……”BTW，老美十分在乎他们have sex之后对方的感觉，在《friends》中多处会提到，这里就不多说啦，呵呵。

floop around 是转悠的意思吧，不是说它就是明确的词组，就是这种感觉
it's all gonna come together。come together意思是步上轨道，一切就绪的意思。很常用的词
6.fat free就是无脂肪的,就像无糖叫sugar-free,这里的free不是指免费,是指”无“(电影back to the future里还拿这个当笑料,主人公从80年代到了50年代到小店要一瓶无糖百事--pepsi free,店员就不懂说”u need to pay for it“),extra cheese就是double cheese,老美喜欢吃奶酪,常规的pizza上的一层奶酪觉得不够爽,所以定的时候要求再加一层,当然这个要加钱的.
7.power作形容词,指”强有力的“,她门可能特喜欢那个叫stephonapolis(拼不来)的政客,所以他的什么东西都是power的,至于towel不是tower.

preppy animal。PREPPY就是大学新生的意思，是SLANG，这里MON就是形容GEORGE的.
preppy就是所谓的雅皮，总是衣冠楚楚的，preppy animal 就该是表面文雅，热情上来了就成野兽了。
12.phoebe是素食者,monica作弄她,说是给她作了个全素的pie,其实里面有鹅肉。Phoebe是素食主义者，Monica曾经谎称给她做了个“蔬菜pate”,其实里面掺了鹅肉。这对Phoebe来说是个很大的打击。就好像有人请穆斯林一起吃肉，而且是牛肉，结果他们实际上给回民吃的是猪肉，这对他们来说是种亵渎
13.predicament room个人感觉在第一季导演老让CHAN说写特别文邹邹的话来搞笑所以很多问题都是第一季的，这里就是说医院里有各种病房，ROOM你不理我们我们就去尴尬病房？
