范仲淹的《岳阳楼记》历代都作为散文名篇收入各种选本,它究竟有哪些独到之处使它成为千古传诵的名篇呢?这是我们在阅读这篇文章时必须认真思考的。范仲淹是北宋杰出的政治家、军事家、在文学方面也相当有成就。下面是《宋史》里关于范仲淹的简略介绍(节引,字句略有改动),对我们理解《岳阳楼记》的思想内容很有帮助,请同学们先读一读(挂在小黑板):
范仲淹二岁而孤,家贫无依,而少有大志,以天下为己任。发愤苦读,惫甚,辄以凉水沃面;食不给,啖粥而读,人不堪其忧,仲淹不改其乐也。既仕(做官),每慷慨论天下事,奋不顾身。以力主革除弊政,被谗受贬,庆历五年由参知政事(副宰相)谪守邓州。勤政爱民,有政声,常自诵曰:“士当先天下之忧而忧,后天下之乐而乐也。”死之日,四方闻者,皆为叹息。

2、范仲淹(989—1052),字希文,苏州吴县(现在江苏省苏州市)人,北宋政治家、文学家,死后谥号文正。他出身贫寒,幼年丧父,对下层人民的痛苦感受较深。其“先天下之忧而忧,后天下之乐而乐”的政治胸襟被千古传唱。《岳阳楼记》选自《范文正公集》。

二、学习第一段:
1、写文章,往往以一两个警句(关键性词句)振起全篇,第1自然段写重修岳阳楼的背景,这背景是什么?说明了什么?
明确:在“政通人和,百废具兴”的基础上“重修岳阳楼”,这说明滕子京在谪守的逆境中,仍不以己悲,把政事治理得井井有条。由此可见作者欣赏他的阔大胸襟,与一般的“迁客”不同。
2、重点词句:
越明年——课本注解为“到了第二年”(即庆历五年),而据《岳州府志》载《宗谅求记书》,滕子京重修岳阳楼在庆历六年,所以这句中的“越”还是按它的本来意义作“过”讲为妥,“越明年”就是“过了第二年”,即进入了第三年讲(庆历六年)。
谪——封建社会官吏的降职或远调,也指把有罪的人遣戍远方,如“发闾左適(同“谪”)戍渔阳九百人”。
属——同“嘱”,通假字,“属予作文以记之”点明写作本文的缘由。
3、首句中“谪”字点明了滕子京当时的处境。滕被谪以后心情不好,准备修好岳阳楼后“凭栏不恸数场”。可作者偏偏在文章的一开头就点出这个“谪”字,这不是存心触痛老朋友吗?试联系整篇文章的意思想一想,作者这样写是否别有深意?
引导要点:从这个“谪”字看,滕子京正是一位如下文所说的“迁客骚人”,作者一开头就点明滕的处境,其实暗暗包含对老朋友的劝勉:你虽然身处逆境,但希望不要像一般的迁客骚人那样为个人的遭遇而悲叹,应该像“古仁人”那样“先天下之忧而忧,后天下之乐而乐”。同时,作者自己在庆历五年也遭贬谪,这样写也暗寓与老朋友同处逆境、自勉勉人之意。从这里可以看出作者的用意是很深的。《岳阳楼记》所以传诵千古,主要原因就在于它不是泛泛的记事写景之作,百是一篇有所寄托,立意高远的好文章。
4、学生朗读、背诵第一段。
三、学习第二段:
1、从岳阳楼上看到的雄伟景象有哪些?
明确:(1)、气势非凡:衔远山,吞长江。(2、宽阔无边:浩浩汤汤,横无际涯。(3)、湖光山色:朝晖夕阴,气象万千。
2、重点词:
夫——本文中几个“夫”都念(观夫、若夫、嗟夫)前两个“夫”有指示作用,相当于“那”;“嗟夫”,感叹声,亦作“嗟乎”。
然则——顺接连词。注意不要跟转折连词“然而”搞混。“然则”在这句中有承上连下的作用。从岳阳楼的地理形势,转入写“迁客骚人”的“览物之情”。
骚人——课本注解:诗人。战国时屈原作《离骚》,因此后世也称诗人为骚人。但在某种特定的语言环境中两者不能对换,如本文“迁客骚人”若换成“迁客诗人”就不恰当。因为《离骚》的作者屈原是一个遭到贬逐的诗人,所以“骚人”比“诗人”有时还多一层“恍然失志”的意思,本文中“骚人”与“迁客”相配比较合适。
得无异乎——“得无”本是一个表示测度的语气副词,但本句中“得”“无”是两个词,相当于现在说的“能不”。以诘问语气表达肯定的意思。
3、这一段写“岳阳楼之大观”,虽然概括,却写得富于形象,气魄宏大。仔细体味,作者是用了哪些词语取得这样的效果的?
明确:作者善于选取形象化的词语绘声绘形。如:衔远山——“衔”字形象地写出湖与山的关系。吞长江——“吞”字,不仅形象地写出湖与江的关系,而且“吞”字声音宽舒洪亮,读来有气势磅礴之感。“衔”“吞”字连用,更使静景富于动态和活力。浩浩汤汤——字音响亮,叠字又加强了气势,形容水大流急,绘声绘形。气象万千——连用两个数词写洞庭湖上景象变化之多之快,极有声势。此外如“横无际涯”的“横”,与“广”近义,但作者用“横”而不用“广”,因“横”字显得境界开阔而有气魄;“朝晖夕阴”的“晖”换成“晴”字,义通顺,但作者用“晖”而不用“晴”字,因为“晖”字具体,容易使读者联想到洞庭湖上“春和景明”的景象。这些例子可以看出作者炼字的功力。

1、细读这两段写景的部分,说说作者为表现“悲”“喜”两种不同的感,分别选取了哪些有特征的景物?又是怎样渲染气氛的?
明确:作者选择的景物都带有浓厚的感情色彩。以第3段为例:雨是“霪雨”,风是“阴风”,浪是“浊浪”,时间是“薄暮”,所闻是“虎啸”和“猿啼”,无不是带有愁苦的色彩,再加以“霏霏”“怒号”“排空”“冥冥”等词语的渲染,一幅天昏地暗、浪黑风高、恐怖凄惨的画面就呈现在读者的面前了。有些景物本来没有特殊的感情色彩,如“日星”“山岳”“商旅”“樯”“楫”等,但配以“隐耀”“潜行”“不行”“倾”“摧”等词语,就带上了浓重的愁苦色彩。

4、“古仁人”的忧乐观是怎样的?(先讲“忧”,“居庙堂之高则忧其民;处江湖之远则忧其君”,“先天下之忧而忧”。后讲“乐”,“后天下之乐而乐”。)
5、“进”指什么?“退”指什么?(“进”指“居庙堂之高”,在朝廷上做官;“退”指“处江湖之远”,不在朝廷上做官。)
6、“微斯人”的“斯人”指什么人?(指“古仁人”,也暗指滕子京,表示对滕子京的慰勉之意。)
7、重点词语:
“则有……者矣”是一长定语句。“者”指代“览物之情”。以第3段末句为例,从“去国怀乡”到“感极而悲”都是“者”的定语。第4段末句的结构相同。这两句可分别译为“登上岳阳楼,就会产生一种离开国都,怀念家乡,忧虑谗言,惧怕讥讽,满眼凄凉,感伤到极点而悲痛的心情了。”“……就会产生一种心胸开朗,精神愉快,荣誉和屈辱一齐忘记,端着酒杯面对和风,充满了喜悦的心情了。”
浮光跃金——这句写月夜有风时湖面上的景色。“浮”和“跃”两个动词分别作名词“光”和“金”的定语,构成两个偏正短语。把湖面上“浮动的月光”比喻成“跃动着的碎金”,造成了一种动态美。
静影沉璧——这句写月夜无风时湖面上的景色。语法结构、修辞方法跟上句相同,不过它写的是静态美:静静的月影宛如沉在水底的白璧。跟上句一动一静,相映成趣。
其喜洋洋——洋洋,众多或盛大貌,这里形容喜的样子。朗读时“喜”字后要稍顿一下。这句可译为:那喜悦真是达到了极点。
8、两段在结构上也是完全相同的;甚至连前后两个抒情句的表达方式也完全相同。试联系上下文想一想,如果把两个抒情句都去掉,行不行?为什么?
明确:这两个抒情句是文章思路发展的中心环节:前句迁客骚人登楼而悲,后句写迁客骚人登楼览物而喜,联系上文看,是为了落实“览物之情,得无异乎”一句,联系下文看,是以迁客骚人随物而变的心情,衬托古仁人“不以物喜,不以己悲”的思想感情,从而引发出“先忧后乐”一段正论。如果把两个抒情句删去,文章思路中断,也破坏了文章的内在联系。
二、学习第五段:
1、作者认为古仁人之心和迁客骚人的思想感情不同在哪里?
明确:迁客骚人的思想感情往往因个人遭遇或外物的触化而发生变化;古仁人则“不以物喜,不以己悲”。
2、古仁人有没有快乐的时候呢?
明确:在天下人感到快乐后古仁人才会快乐。可见他们的或忧或乐完全是随天下人的或忧或乐而转移的。这就是作者所认为的“古仁人之心”。
3、这种“古仁人”是作者心目中的理想人物,实际也许并不存在。联系第一课时介绍的有关作者的资料,说一说作者为什么要议论这种实际上并不存在的人物。
明确:作者以天下为己任,常说“士当先天下之忧而忧,后天下之乐而乐也”。可见这种“先忧后乐”的思想,正是作者的理想,从他力主革除弊政、做官勤政爱民的行为看,确实不是徒托空言。他借滕子京嘱写《岳阳楼记》的机会,提出这种理想化的人物来,正是为了“假托古人,自写怀抱”,表明自己本来就不为个人的进退、荣辱而悲喜,虽遭贬谪,但忧国忧民之心决不改变,同时也包含着对滕子京的勉慰。最后一句自明志向,以问句的形式表达,自励励人,委婉含蓄。
4、怎样理解“先天下之忧而忧,后天下之乐而乐”这句话?
明确:我国古代早有“与民同乐”的思想。孟子说:“乐民之乐者,民亦乐其乐;忧民之忧者,民亦忧其忧。乐以天下,忧以天下,然而不王者,未之有也。”这里说的“乐以天下,忧以天下“来源于民本思想。范仲淹在本文中把它发展成为“先天下之忧而忧,后天下之乐而乐”的观点,并以此作为对待仕途进退的原则,表现他旷达的胸襟和伟大的抱负。他提倡的吃苦在前,享受在后的精神,在今天仍有着借鉴和教育的意义。

九、教学反思
在本节课的教学过程中,我采用了“任务型”的教学途径,通过小组合作的方式,并借助多媒体,增加趣味性和直观性,增大课堂容量,提高课堂效率,各个环节由易到难,环环相扣,面向全体学生,争取让每一个学生都能参与到教学活动中来,得到练习的机会,教学目标圆满完成,大部分学生在这节课后能准确流利的使用所学句型以及单词进行自由会话。但这堂课基本用全英语授课,导致基础不是太好的学生在理解上有些困难,从而不能很好的听懂老师的要求,课堂气氛有时不够活跃,总体上来说,学生对每个环节都比较感兴趣,能够在轻松快乐的氛围中学习和使用英语,体验学习英语的乐趣。
