Marsellous:Well,suppose she(Bonny) finds out,what could happen?(就算她发现了,又会怎么样?)
Jule:She's gonna freak.(她就会大呼小叫。)
Marsellous:No shit she'll freak. That ain't no kinda answer.(她当然会大呼小叫,你这算什么回答?)
而freak在口语中常见的意思是react with extreme or irrational distress or discomposure(Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary,10th Edition)。
同样的情况还有Marsellous在劝说白人拳手Butch为自己打假拳时说的一句话Are you my nigger?
Brett:Look, what's your name? I got his name. But what's yours?
Jule:My name's Jule. And your ass ain't gonna talk your way outta this shit.
Brett这句话意思其实很简单,如果转换成标准的英语,就是you will not talk you way out of this.
