I imagine a lot about lives in the future. I think two words can summarize my imagination. The first word is fast. In the future, we will have more quickly transportation means. Now matter how far we go, it takes only a short time. With the development of science and technology, we can travel to the moon, Mars or somewhere outer space. People may can live in other planets. The second word is convenient. Because of the fast development of our society, many work can be done by computers or even robots. Lots of things are fully automated. 在南宁快速作文研究课题组组长袁刚眼里，第一次接触作文的小学生就像农民陈奂生进城，分不清南北，恐惧、不安、紧张。如今，陈奂生这样找不着北的外地人越来越少了，因为手里都捏着城市示意图———作文也需要一张“地图”。
20世纪80年代中期，袁刚在广西融安县一个村里当语文老师，整个学校没有一个学生能写翻页的作文，最长的不过200字，他很惊讶，连走了14个村，村村如此。“少、慢、差”成了小学生作文的通病，怕和躲是小学生对待作文的普遍态度。
知道小学生爱画画、喜欢直观生动的东西，袁刚就开始“土制”一些图像、图表、线段、符号，形象地表现文章的结构，激发学生的兴趣。“羊肉串”表示心理描写，因为贪嘴的孩子们上课都惦记着这个；四朵浪花表示动态描写，因为在孩子们眼里，大海是最汹涌有力的；一个四方脑袋加上一副八字胡表示外貌描写，因为孩子们心里的爸爸就是这个模样；两个圈中间一根竖线隔开表示比喻……
两个月下来，学生的课本成了“大花脸”，画满了孩子们自创的而外人不明白的奇怪符号。学生们爱上了语文课———接下来，学生的作文有了自己的羊肉串、浪花、八字胡———学生的作文也越写越快、越写越好。
袁刚还提出了大作文、大语文的概念，他鼓励写作从身边开始，一切都可以为作文所用。他的作文课从不排在每天第一节，而是经常就写上一节课学生刚学习的、还感觉热乎乎的东西。他说，只要激发学生的阅读热情、充分尊重学生的想像力，作文就像魔术球，层层裂变。
面对那些在教学生作文时感到束手无策的老师，他总提起自己的“椰子理论”。没见过椰子的人第一次见椰子，总把椰子当足球、当石头，以为它是无汁的，可只要有心人凿个小孔，就能品尝到椰汁的甘美。每个学生，都像是那些裹着硬壳、外表并不美的椰子，而事实证明“每个椰子都是有汁的”。
他的快速作文教学在广西实验了，被认为走的是“农村包围城市”的路子。最初从广西48个贫困县之一的融安县雅瑶乡福田村棉花坡小学的17个孩子发轫，现在延伸到整个柳州地区，甚至，还出现了多年来柳州地区学生语文期末考试必有5分图示分析题的情况。1993年，他获得了全国优秀教师称号，他的实验在广西卓显成效：一名小学五年级学生，在15分钟内完成了一篇589字的优秀作文，一名3年级学生完成了一篇近6000字的情节生动的想像文章。他的学生写的作文频频获奖。
今年1月10日，南宁市兴宁区36所小学语文老师参加了小学图示快速作文法展示会，目睹了最快的学生19分钟成文，最长的达900多字，平时写作文干巴、拖拉的学生都有话可说了。
一位叫罗军的同学说，图示法就像七巧板，你拿着那些线条、符号，凭着自己的想像去重新组合，一篇作文的骨架就在那里，写作文成了件快乐的事。
一位叫朱丽华的五年级学生反映，这样的课好玩，老师在黑板上画图，学生在台上表演，我们很快就找到了作文的主题，想像力更丰富了。以前一提作文就发慌，几个小时也写不出来，现在感觉容易多了。
广西教育学院刘振娅教授称，图示作文法、大作文理念解决了学生“愿写”、“有得写”、“会写”的问题，可操作性很强。
南宁市人民东段小学一位老师表示，这种快速作文法让学生耳目一新，最大的特点是激发了学生写作文的兴趣，摒弃了以往作文课以老师为主，很少与学生互动的做法。
对于“快速”作文，反对的声音也一直存在。袁刚自己也说，这10多年，他一直是同时在反对声和掌声中工作。
一种声音认为，文无定法，写作文无章可循，定法只会使写作走向死胡同，图示作文法就是一种定法，是“术”不是“道”，是技巧而不是能力，给学生一种写作模式，一定程度地限制了学生的想像力。现在有很多作文速成的方法，“魔图法”、“入格作文法”等，都能在短期内达到一定的效果，但其实，写作文是没有方法可言的，情至笔至，“无为”就是“有为”。
还有人认为，快速写作是应试教育的产物，小学生知识储备和信息摄取量都太少，搞快速作文为时尚早，欲速则不达，而且，作文不能一味求快，尤其是小学生作文。
对这种反对声音，袁刚也承认他的图示法是一种可操作性的术，是一种辅助手段，它只能从属于内容，不能束缚学生的思维，它充其量是根拐杖，学生过了作文刚起步这条“河”之后，可以任意舍弃。

周六，我当了一个小时的“盲人”，也就是假装“失明”一小时，就让我们来看看我是怎么度过这一个小时的吧!
