有这些词汇值得记录:throughout history(史上), help to shape human history(塑造人类史), model king(明君), spiritual teacher(精神导师), give discourses to(传道), disciple(徒弟)
5. quora

Changes
1. Do you like changes?
I don’t really like change much, no. To be honest, I like life to remain quite stable. I like things to be predictable and so I am a little bit resistant to change. Some people seem to embrace change quite happily, but I’m not one of those people. I prefer things to be pretty much the same without any surprises or things that come along to rock the boat or affect my plans or organization. I’m a very organized person with a fairly conventional life, you see. So, I don’t really favour change much.
2. Can you name some changes that happened in your hometown recently?
My hometown has changed in a number of very positive ways over the past few years. I think it’s because the government have invested money into making it more attractive and following a new “green policy”. Lots of flowerbeds, plants, trees and green areas have been built, roads have been improved and facilities have been updated. So, I’m pretty happy with these changes in my town.
3. Are there any positive changes in your country these days?
There have been both positive and negative changes. In terms of the positive changes I’ve seen a lot of new infrastructural developments, like improved roads, faster trains and more efficient public transport in general, as well as some environmental changes, like cleaner air and more initiatives to make cities greener and more environmentally friendly.
Gifts
1. What’s the best present or gift you have ever received?
Oh, let me think… emmm… I think the best gift I received was a new bike, when I was a kid. I was so excited about this! I was about 6 years old, and all my friends had cool bikes, and then my birthday came around and I got a really amazing bike. I was so happy about this. So, at least at that time in my life, it was definitely the best present!
2. Do you give expensive gifts?
I sometimes do yes. It depends. Sometimes for a friend’s birthday a few of us club together and put some money together and get a really nice pair of fancy sunglasses or an accessory or something for the person. But usually I think it’s the thought that counts, and many people put too much emphasis on the price of gifts and this isn’t a good thing.
3. What do you often choose as gifts?
It depends on who the gift is for! I usually get some ideas from the person’s friends if I don’t already know the kind of things they like or need. A choice of gift could range from a small desk-toy for an office, like a cute cartoon figure, a pair of designer sunglasses, a book… It completely depends on the person.
4. What kinds of gifts are popular in your country?
Popular gifts today are perhaps small fashion accessories. Cute bags for girls, maybe a football or basketball T-shirt for boys… If you go to someone’s house for dinner then it’s customary to take some fruits, some juice, a bottle of wine, maybe some snacks and cakes. Things like this.

首当其冲的是th的发音,凡是遇到th我们都要咬舌头,比如the, think, this, mother, both, three, through, month, maths。
比如meal和mill, sheep和ship, been和bin。
比如same说成seem,coin说成corn。
It has white body and black eyes或者It‘s cute之外,几乎没有区别于其他同学的内容。
首先要学会做有心人,平时和同学、朋友聊天,要多注意收集他人的人生经历。比如一个同学绘声绘色地描述了他去云南游玩的经历,即便你本人没有去过云南,也可以把这一段话改编成一段出色的雅思口语trip题答案;
There’s a zoo indside of it, and there‘re different kinds of animal in it, such as…
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail (opened February 8, ) : A play area for kids, featuring a Mount Shasta wilderness-like setting and suspension and wire bridges. It also features rock climbing and a Brother Bear scene cave. It is also designed for adventurous adults。
Well, I don’t have a certain favorite attraction in particular, but if I have to say, I‘d probably say it is Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. Actually, it’s a play area for kids but it also attracts a young adult like me for its design. It is a mount shape background with a exciting suspension and wire bridge, and also a cute brother bear cave which even fascinates a lot of adults。
不过在网络搜索的过程中,切记三个原则,第一,搜索的关键词要具体不要抽象,如果搜索describe a park,就不如搜索一个具体的公园Disneyland得到的信息多;
第二,得到了文字信息之后,一定要在资料的基础上进行改编,因为得到的资料是书面语,我们要将它修改成口语稿才能使用;
Topic:Describe an interesting or unusual thing you did recently.
You should say:
what you did
when and where you did it
who you did it with
and explain why you think it was interesting or unusual.
Sample answer:
There is an interesting thing that I usually do in my spare time, it is baking. I have been doing it since last summer and I was inspired by an American drama called “Two Broke Girls”The dream of this two girls is to own a large bakery; thus they bake cupcakes for sales to earn extra money.I then found out some recipes from internet, and bought some equipment for baking.I baked with my best friends who has the same interest with me.
In order to make delicate and pretty cupcakes,we have to follow every step from the recipe strictly, and we have to put all the ingredients carefully, for example the percentage of sugar and flour should be measured discreetly Furthermore, the temperature of the oven and the timing are the key elements to succeed. It is fun to blend all the ingredients together and pour it into the mould (模具). However, after we opened the oven door,my friend and me were laugh out loud since the cupcakes were over heated and they all turned burnt.
Although we didn't succeed at the first time, but the process was full of fun and the experience is precious.
雅思口语Part3话题范文:something special you waited for
1.Why do you think some people like doing new things?
Some people would say it’s part of human nature. If we had never tried new things we would never have made any progress throughout history. Personally I think it’s because doing something different is interesting.
You get to see new places, meet new people and learn something, and if it’s something difficult maybe you have a sense of achievement at the end. Maybe we don’t always enjoy doing new things, but it’s always good to try something you haven’t done before. I think many people are curious - that’s why they do it.
2.What problems can people have when they try new activities for the first time?
Well, they may feel nervous of course, or they may have problems doing the activity. Some things need a little skill and practice to do well. I remember the first time I went horseriding – I was hopeless, I couldn’t control the horse and felt very uncomfortable at first, but after a while I began to enjoy it.
3.Do you think it’s best to do new things on your own or with other people? Why?
That depends on the person. Some people like to do things on their own to meet different people and extend their social network, or maybe because none of their friends want to try the same activity, but they do. Other people only do things with their friends or family because they feel more comfortable doing it when they are with someone they know. In my case I don’t mind, I’ll try something new on my own or with friends if they are interested in doing it too.
4.What kinds of things do children learn to do when they are very young? How important are these things?
Kids learn all kinds of things, like sports and other skills. Of course, they also learn all the new things they do at school as well. Doing new activities when you’re a child is important because you learn what you like and don’t like which can be important in the future for you. It also helps develop your personality and in learning how to overcome problems.
5.Do you think children and adults learn to do new things in the same way? How is their learning style different?
No, children and adults learn differently. I think children have much less fear; they just try something without thinking about it so much. As adults we are much more rational and tend to consider things much more before doing them. We think about why we might do something or not, if it’s a good idea or not, the benefits, the risks, etc. Children have a much more adventurous spirit naturally, and maybe they’re more curious than adults, they have very enquiring minds.
6.Some people say that it is more important to be able to learn new things now than it was in the past. Do you agree or disagree with that? Why?
I’m not sure. We’ve always had to learn new things. Maybe nowadays it’s more important to learn new things quickly, faster than before, and maybe learn more new things in our lives than our parents or grandparents had to, because the pace of life and rate at which new things are introduced is much faster, thanks to technology. I think we have to learn to deal with more changes in the way we do everyday things nowadays.
雅思口语Part2话题高分范文:time you needed to use imagination
Topic:Describe a time you needed to use imagination.
You should say:
what the situation was
why you needed to use imagination
what the difficulties were
and explain how you felt about it.
Sample answer:
You can use your imagination to help you through a number of situations. For instance, you can use it to take mini-vacation in your mind, helping you to relax in the middle of life's everyday problems.
On the other hand imagination is necessary sometimes. For example,Think about a scenario without failure. That is,when you are thinking about a problem or situation, imagine that you cannot fail. Think about options you normally wouldn't consider because you think they are risky. Imagination is important for everyone in our life,it is the power of creative thinking.
I think the most difficulty thing of having imagination is that people always indulge in the world of it. People always do not want to think about challenges in the real life because things are risky, instead of it,they decide to live in the world of imagination. Thus,we need to know what the differences between the real world and imagination world.
When I using imagination I could feel passionate and I believe I have more creativity and innovation ideas. Also some of the most influential and innovative creations have come from the simple act of imagining something bigger, easier,or more beautiful. Moreover, scientists and creative artists have an amazing gift for thinking outside the box and allowing their imaginatlons the freedom to grow.
