So first of all, as for how I know about bamboo, well I can’t really remember exactly how I first got to know about it, you know, it could have been in a biology class at school, or when I was out somewhere with my parents, but my guess would be that I probably first knew about it at primary school, because that was about the time when we first started learning about things like that.
Anyway, moving on to why bamboo is important, well I’d say it’s pretty important for a number of reasons, the main one of which would be that it can be used to make so many different things, you know, such as chopsticks, chopping boards, flooring, what else, um……oh yeah, and musical instruments, like the bamboo flute for example.
And another thing to mention is that bamboo is also used a lot for carrying stuff. For example, what I’ve seen people do is rest it on their shoulders, and then hang things on each end, because as well as being strong, it’s also very flexible, so it won’t break, even with very heavy loads.
So it’s extremely useful, and what’s good about it is that it grows incredibly fast, you know, not like most other trees, and so although a lot of it’s cut down to make stuff, there will still always be an abundant supply of it here.
But anyway, finally then, as for how much I like bamboo, well I’d say it’s actually probably one of my favourite plants! Because I mean, it kind of just gives me a nice, pleasant feeling whenever I see it. And it’s also a plant which is often associated with China, because we grow so much of it here, so it’s something that kind of reminds me of my own culture, if you know what I mean.
So yeah I guess that’s pretty much it then. Thanks for listening.

I can tell you about Periwinkle, commonly known as Sada Bahar in my country. It’s one of the most popular plants here. It is an evergreen subshrub or herbaceous plant growing to 1 m tall. The leaves are oval to oblong, 2–9 cm long and 1–3 cm broad, glossy green, hairless, with a pale midrib and a short petiole; they are arranged in opposite pairs. The flowers are white to dark pink with a darker red centre. The fruit is a pair of follicles. In the wild, it is an endangered plant; the main cause of decline is habitat destruction by slash and burn agriculture. It is also however widely cultivated and is naturalised in subtropical and tropical areas of the world.
My first memory of this pink flower (which I later found out was called the periwinkle) was at my Grandmas place. Every morning she would water the sandy flower beds from which the periwinkles sprang up. I loved watching them nodding at the sun and dancing in the wind. Periwinkles grow perpetually all year through and are also available in shades of white and purple.
Periwinkle is very easy to grow. Just pluck a branch from another plant and stick it in well drained soil. Soon roots will grow and the pink flowers will multiply. I picked a four inch branch one year ago from someone's garden and today I have a flowerbed overflowing with periwinkle flowers.
I think this is one of the most popular ornamental plants we have, and it is used in medicine as well. Today, the leaves and roots of the periwinkle are used in the pharmaceutical industry and in ayurvedic medicines to treat different diseases like diabetes, hypertension and cancer.

Paddy plant or rice plant is a very common plant which is grown in our country. The farmers of our country cultivate it and it is grown in most of the places in our country. If you go to a countryside in paddy season, you will find this plant is dancing with the wind. This plant grows well in fertile land and needs a good supply of water and sunlight. Rice is our chip food and we get rice from this paddy plant.
The paddy plant is a medium side plant which is thin and the leaves and body of this plant are green. Usually, the rice seed is green in early states and becomes yellow when it is ripe. Our economy heavily depends on our rice production. Our environment, soil, water and fields are in favour of producing a large quantity of rice each year.
Since I live in a city now, I don't see these plants here but in my childhood whenever I went to visit our village, I found this plant in every field. Mile after mile farmers cultivate paddy plants and wish to get a good quantity of rice. These paddy plants are beautiful and create a harmony with the wind if you hear closely. The dancing of this plant with the wind is something that would simply create a magical hallucination.
I also like it because this plant provides us rice which is our staple food. The taste and food value are quite good and it is our main crop. Every part of this plant has its usefulness. Our economy has a good dependency on the production of rice which we get from this plant. In our country, this is probably the most important plant we grow.

When I was in high school there was a very strict rule requiring boys to have their hair cut to a certain length – in particular, I mean, to be specific, the hair had to be at least one inch above the collar. I was at a boys school so it didn’t apply to any girls. This was enforced by a teacher who had the job of walking around every Wednesday and checking boys’ hairstyles. I don’t know when the rule was made, but it was a very traditional school and it was a pretty old rule. I think it was standard for that kind of school. At the time, I didn’t like the rule because, like all the other boys, I really wanted to be, err, to have long hair. We thought that hair, long hair, looked good on men. This was in the 1970s when men all had shoulder-length hair and we were, arr, saturated with images of men with hair that was shoulder length or longer, – actors, pop stars, even the politicians. If you look back now, you can see that all of the men at that time had quite long hair. Although the pictures look pretty daggy now, that’s how it was so…. At the time I thought it was an unnecessary rule, and I was mortified on the day when I was given a haircut when the teacher caught me with my hair being too long. The school used to hire an army barber to come in and cut people’s hair if they were, uh, if they were caught breaking the rule. At the time, the school used to talk about encouraging a polite attitude, encouraging a civilised attitude, but I didn’t respect that.

1.反面口语范文:
When I was at school there were many rules we had to follow. Most of them were regarding discipline; you know, like not running in the corridors, not fighting in the playground, things like that.
I guess by the time I arrived at high school I was accustomed to such rules, like most students. It becomes normal and most students obey, or follow, the rules. But there are always one or two exceptions.
I can remember one student who was expelled from school for constantly fighting with other students. The student had been transferred from another school, and was known as a ‘difficult case’ in terms of discipline.
He didn’t really show much respect for the teachers and used to hang around with a bad group of people. Anyway, he was always getting into trouble with teachers and other students, and eventually he was expelled after fighting with another boy within the school grounds, and subsequently transferred to another school.
Some rules seem silly at times, but clearly the rule about fighting is a good one because it’s dangerous, and other students might follow this bad example and then there would be a lot of disorder and it would affect the atmosphere of the school.
So obviously it was a good rule, and I think that the punishment for breaking the rule several times – expulsion from school – was correct so as to deter any other students from following a bad example.
It’s important that students learn to obey rules at school, because it’s just part of life. When you grow up and become an adult there are many more rules you have to follow, such as when you’re driving, working, and many other aspects pf life which are governed by rules.
Learning to respect rules, and authority, even if you don’t fully understand why, or agree with the rules, is an essential part of becoming a productive member of society, and so it is something that children should be expected to learn from the first day they enter into the education system – because rules will be part of their live every day for the rest of their lives.

I’m going to talk about a rule at my primary school. The school I went to wasn’t a pretty relaxed place and in fact there weren’t that many rules and regulations. We were for instance encouraged to speak in class as much as possible because our teachers wanted us to learn how to express ourselves. It was that sort of place – really liberal.
The one rule that I really remember though was that we couldn’t use our mobile phones in class. The school was really strict about this and you could get into a lot of trouble if you became a repeat offender. Normally it wasn’t much of a problem. If a teacher saw a student with a mobile, he’d just tell him to turn it off and pay attention to what he was saying. Then again, there were some teachers who would confiscate any mobile phones they saw at all – even if they were not being used and were just lying on the desk.
I suppose the reason for the rule was to make sure that all the students were paying attention to the teacher or just doing what they were supposed to be doing and not texting their friends or browsing the net. I think the idea was that the school was happy to have kids talking to each other but weren’t nearly so happy if they were writing texts – perhaps because the teacher wouldn’t know what was being said.
Did I like the rule? Not really. I thought that it would have been much better of we’d been allowed to use out phones more. There’re so many great learning apps on phones that it seemed a little silly that we had to learn just on paper.

The garden I'm going to describe is famous because it belonged to the French painter Claude Monet. It's in a place called Giverny, which is in northern France, about an hour away from Paris in the province of Normandy.
There are actually two gardens at the Monet house in Giverny: a flower garden, and a Japanese inspired water garden. Apparently, Monet designed the gardens himself; he even had the pond and the famous Japanese bridge made. After creating the gardens, Monet painted some of the most well-known paintings in the world, such as those of the waterlilies below the bridge on his pond.
Thousands of people visit the gardens at Giverny to see the magnificent scenes that inspired Monet's paintings. Visitors can walk around the gardens and take pictures, which is what I did when I went there.
I like Monet's gardens because they are such beautiful creations, and it's amazing to see the 'real thing' having seen the famous paintings so many times.

There’s a special garden here in the city where I live that I really love. Well, actually it’s more than a garden, it’s like a park, but with gardens within it; it’s very large.
Apparently it was created from an old lake, which dried up. It’s been there for hundreds of years now and has a lot of trees, plants, flowers and other interesting things like statues, monuments and fountains and stuff like that. It’s a public place and every day you can see hundreds of people there- some of them are tourists visiting the city and others are locals just walking through the gardens on their way to some place. You can often see people sitting having something to eat or drink at one of the cafes. Just last week I saw several people sitting on some of the benches reading, now that the weather has turned nice again.
I used to go to the gardens a lot when I first arrived here from abroad. I found the atmosphere very relaxing- so much greenery- in the middle of the capital city. Now I try to go every couple of weeks to explore a little and learn a bit more about the gardens. I have some favourite places in the garden, for example, there’s a beautiful fountain, and there are many other monuments and commemorative sites which honour explorers, reformers, and volunteers and people who died in various wars and for various causes throughout history.
It’s almost like walking through a history book sometimes. I would love to have enough time to learn about all of them. But one of the things I like most is that you can always find a quiet place to be by yourself if you go…or you can go to different parts where there are a lot of people all around; there’s a lot of variety and you can see, and sometimes even meet people from all over the world. I suppose if you were really interested in flowers and trees and things like that it would be a great place to spend some time too. I’m not really, but it’s easy to see that there are a lot of different plants and shrubs throughout the garden.
I just like going there because there is always something to do and different people to see, and to see how different the gardens look as the seasons change.

Today I'd like to describe my home garden, which I think is a beautiful one and which I like very much. The garden is part of my home's backyard, and my house is located in the suburbs, about a 1-hour drive from the city of San Francisco. There is a big tree right in the middle of my garden, which is surrounded by a hot tub, a small water fountain, several bushes, a section for vegetables, and different kinds of flowers.
This garden was actually one of the reasons why my wife and I chose to buy our house because it had been beautifully maintained by the previous owner’s gardener and landscaper. It’s been only 1 year since we bought the house and now we are taking care of the garden ourselves. Even though we are not experts in gardening, we still try our best to plant things that we like, such as roses and tulips, and we even grow our own tomatoes.
Whenever family and friends come to visit us, we invite them to have a relaxing time in our hot tub, and enjoy the view. So in other words, our garden has also become a kind of resort! It definitely requires lots of hard work to properly maintain the garden, but it gives us a great sense of accomplishment to “decorate” it the way we like.
All in all, the garden is one of the best features of my home and it is a place where I can relax after a long day of work or during the weekends.

My last visit to Paris is still memorable for some certain reasons. Though it was a business trip, I enjoyed visiting different parts of the city, especially the adorable gardens of the city. The Jardin des Tuileries is one of the most impressive ones that attracted my attention most. Thank you for the question, and I will describe the event here in brief.
During the visit in Paris, I went to Jardin des Tuileries. This is one of the formal gardens of the city and has been designed in 1640. The garden is physically located almost in the centre of the city. Moreover, the garden is accessible from anywhere in the city and there are no entrance fees required for being there.
This is a beautiful garden and it was designed by André Le N?tre, the gardener of King Louis XIV. The garden is adjacent to the Place du Carrousel. It provides a great view of an unbroken vista that leads to the Place de la Concorde. Besides, being the oldest and the largest public garden in Paris, it contains some special features. The enchanting view of the garden is the most attractive part of this place. The trees and plants are planted in a perfect shape while the shapes are different in places. However, the overall view of the garden is really adorable and this it brings a large number of visitors in this place.
This is a perfect place for relaxation. It comes with natural views, ponds, seating arrangements and many other activities that will make people feel relaxed. The name of the garden has been derived from a tile factory. The factory was on the site of Palais des Tuileries and it was built in 1564. This is the place which is mostly used for some specific outdoor activities. People come here and get relaxed. There are some statues and many of the visitors are enchanted with the status. The majority of the statutes are the works of Monet. The visitors admire the works and take pictures with the statues.
I can remember the place for some reasons. This was the only place that was crowded but I loved that crowd. Everyone was busy with their respective activities. Besides, I went to the garden in the evening. The evening scene was exceptionally charming. I was delighted with the scenes and every day went there to enjoy the views as long as I stayed in Paris. I remember the place for another reason. The seating arrangement at the ponds was one of the wonderful steps adopted by the garden authority. I have not seen such other gardens to be decorated with such a lucrative style. Based on all the reasons, I remember the garden clearly even after visiting it about three months ago.

I remember visiting rock garden in Chandigarh last year, with my family. The garden was so big and unique that I still remember it. It is sculpture garden and is completely built of industrial and home waste and thrown-away items. It was started by Nek Chand, a government official in 1957.
He used to collect the industrial waste and the other city waste and created the sculptures from them. The garden is regarded as a unique place and the perfect symbol of recycling. The layout of the garden is that of a lost kingdom. The moment one enters the garden, the small entrance doors which make the head bow, not only creative an ambience of royal but also impart humbleness. One has to pass through a verity of doorways, archways, vestibules, streets and lanes of different scales and dimensions, each one opening into a new array of display or courtyards and chambers lending an air of suspense and curiosity at every corner, at every turn.
An open air theatre and a vast pavilion with a center stage are the other highlights of the rock Garden where art and culture blend amidst rustic and exotic environs of the garden.
Most people go there to visit and see it, it is rather a tourist spot and lots of people come on daily basis.
I remember looking at the garden and being awed by the beauty the garden is made of. I mean no one can say that it is made of waste because they have been put to so great use. I think everyone must visit it during their life time.

There are so many unique cities I have visited and experienced, but the one that really sticks out in my mind is Austin Texas because of it’s mixed lifestyle and nightlife. Actually, I’ve been there several times, and I would go back in a heartbeat.
The first time I was in Austin was back in 1987 when I was stationed at Fort Hood Texas while serving in the U.S. Army. A lot of my Army buddies told me Austin was the place to go, especially 6th Street which is one of the main streets in downtown Austin. They were undeniably correct!
When I finally went there on the advice of my friends, I was amazed at how packed the streets were with a diverse crowd. Everybody was having a great time socializing in every corner of the street. I knew I was in for a good time.
Sixth Street is filled with bars, nightclubs, and restaurants, and you can listen to many different types of music from country and western to blues, jazz, and good old rock n roll. I’m personally a fan of rock n roll and to my delight I found a bar called Maggie Mae’s that had a local musician playing some of my favorite hits such as Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison.
One of the other things I liked about this area was how clean the streets were. I was happy to see people using the trash receptacle and not throwing their litter on the streets.
Now for one of my gripes! I was not a happy camper with the high prices for drinks, food, and entertainment. I couldn’t believe a domestic beer cost $6 for a pint and the cover charge to listen to music cost between $10 to $15.
All in all, I love this city and would recommend it to anybody who loves nightlife and music.

Well, first of all, I should say that I want to present to you a beautiful city that named Ho Chi Minh. Actually, I have lived there for 2 months the last year and my initial point would be that I will come here to live all my life in the future.
All right, I really need to kick off with the point that Ho Chi Minh is the center of Vietnam’s southern. Of course, you know, I could say that this city takes the first position in the industrial system of the country and the southern especially. Actually, you may or may not be aware that in fact Ho Chi Minh is situated among many industrialized cities such as Binh Duong, Vung Tau, Dong Nai… and I shouldn’t forget to mention that it takes an important part of the domestic and the international circulation of Vietnam.
Also, I suppose I should really say that Ho Chi Minh posse a dynamic life style that attracts young people who want to build a brilliant social position. There are many reasons supporting my view that are an open atmosphere, a practical attitude, a mix culture, a rapid rhythm … Indeed, this city provides everyone so many chances to grow up our careers everywhere every time. Education and Formation, Arts and Entertainment, Commerce and Trade, Mechanic and Industry… every section is on the way of developing.
Another point which I could add is that you could visit many entertainment centers on the town, and if you need fresh air, it’s so simple to take a western tour in a few days or run along the beach, climb up on the mountain in some neighbor provinces. Something else that I need to comment on is that you will find your favor meal which is part of various special goods that come from everywhere in the country and in the world. After careful consideration of the above reasons, I personally agree that the most attracting thing of this city is its own life style that has been keeping for long times.

A couple of months ago I went to the Greek island of Crete. We stayed in a town called Xania, which is on the coast in the north west of Crete. It is a really picturesque town with small cobbled streets, a large harbour and many ancient buildings. I went there with my husband Brendan for a one-week holiday.
We got there by various means of transport, taking a train to the airport, then a four-hour flight, followed by a twenty-minute taxi ride from the airport to where we were staying. The whole journey took around eight hours from door to door, which was a bit longer than we expected it to take, although we didn't have any major delays, thank goodness.
I enjoyed my stay there very much, as I had not had a holiday for ages and needed to switch off from working. We didn't do much sightseeing, although Xania itself has a long and fascinating history so went to the local museum in order to learn more about it. I spent a lot of time reading books and swimming in the sea, which I must admit was quite a lot colder than I thought it would be. I also enjoyed eating the delicious Cretan food, and walking around the ancient streets in the town.
One of the things I enjoyed the most was going to a restaurant called Xalkina, where they had live Cretan music every night. The musicians were playing instruments that I had never seen before, and I loved the style and tempo of the music they played. I would definitely like to go back to Crete one day, though next time I would probably make more effort to see the amazing sights of the rest of Crete.

Mr. John's house is adjacent to ours and I meet him almost every day. Mr. John is a retired army person who is now around 50 years old. He lives in his house alone and I have never found his relatives visiting him except some old colleagues. He stays inside his house most of the time and in the evening he sits in the veranda. He is a quiet man and likes to read a lot. I have seen him coming to live in his house almost 5-6 years ago. He bought the house from our previous neighbour.
I had had several conversations with him and I often play chess with him. I like to read as well and our reading habit was the primary reason we started liking our accompany each other. I like and admire this man very much. Though at first impression he seems to be an arrogant person, but in reality, he is an intelligent, calm, good-hearted and charming man. I’m lucky, I’ve got good neighbours. I’m going to tell you about just one of them, when we met, how often we meet and why I think he is a good neighbour who I like very much.
I live in an old house which has been converted into about eleven different flats and bedsits. I live on the top floor, which is actually the modernised attic space of the original building, there is just one other flat in this roof area. To get to my flat, and that of my immediate next door neighbour, you have to go up a back stairway that was probably originally the servants’ staircase, I think what is now my flat and that of my neighbour’s too, must have been at one time servants’ quarters. This means that our doorways are directly opposite one another, and we are the only people who use this entrance to the building.
I moved into the flat I live in about five or six years ago now. It is a rented flat. At that time the flat opposite me was empty, but a few weeks later I met a woman a little bit older than me who was busy cleaning just inside the flat, but with the door wide open. I paused to introduce myself and talk to her. She was really friendly, and I found out it was her son who was to be my new neighbour, she was just helping him to move in. A bit later he, Oliver, turned up too. He was new to the area, so I explained where all the local shops were, when the rubbish was taken out and various other little details about the practicalities of living in the property. A couple of days later he knocked on my door and called round for a chat. We found we got on really well. We have a very similar sense of humour, a shared (but slightly half-hearted) interest in running, and a mutual appreciation of good food – I could recommend the deli over the road to him as a source of lovely upmarket cheeses, olives and home-made lasagne and delicious pasta and pesto sauce too. We also both have an unfulfilled wanderlust, always plotting our next journey. He is off to Australia soon, lucky him!
Given how close we live together, our front doors face directly onto one another, we see each other incredibly rarely. We both have busy lives, working full time but different hours. At weekends I tend to be out and about, and he’ll often disappear for the weekend to stay with his girlfriend. Even so, whenever we do meet, it is always friendly, we make each other laugh. We often end up having long conversations just chatting in the hallway outside our front doors. I probably see him only once a fortnight or so, but we leave each other notes too from time to time if we need help with anything.
Oliver is a great neighbour because I know I could call on him if I needed to. We will always help each other if we can. I dug his car out of the snow for him once as he didn’t have a shovel, but he’s returned the favour in other ways, taking in parcels for me when I’m away for example. Because I live on my own it is really important to me to have a neighbour close by that I trust and like. I was really sad when he told me he was planning to emigrate. I was also really pleased for him, you have to wish someone well when they are following their dreams. I hope my new next-door neighbour is half as nice!

He lives with his family only three blocks away from our house. He moved in our community 5-6 years ago and in this sense he is my neighbour for the last 5-6 years.
He is very amiable and talented person. He speaks very kindly with everybody and with children and senior citizen he behaves very mildly no matter what. I have seen his research papers been published in a reputed science and engineering journal and he is a renowned engineer in our town. In his career life, he is a successful Engineer and in his personal life he is a good human, dotting father and caring husband. He obeys the rules and regulation of our community very strictly and because of that, everyone in our community likes him.
I like him very much because of his kind and benevolent attitude and cordial behaviour. He helps poor people and also boldly protests any discrimination and injustice he notices. His talent, fame and successful career have not made him a proud person. Rather he has become a kind and good hearted man over time. Here I would like to talk about my next door neighbour, Mr satinder Singh. I call him Joni uncle. I find him very interesting because one can never feel bored in his company. He has so many interesting stories to tell. I have known him for the past ten years as he moved into our neighborhood ten years ago. I see him every day because I daily go with him for morning walk. He is in his eighties. He is not very tall but looks very good. Even at this age he looks very hale and hearty. He generally likes to wear Kurta pajama. I believe he is a good neighbour because he is always there whenever anyone needs him. He also helped me a lot in my studies. He treats me like his grandchild. Even though he taught history at college, he helped me in all subjects till my tenth class. He is very helpful to all people in the neighborhood. Whenever anyone comes to him for help, he is always willing to help. He is a retired history teacher. He reads a lot and seems to know something about everything. During our morning walk he tells me many stories about his life. He is a self made man. He told me how he started from scratch after the partition and worked very hard to make a living. He has two sons who live in the States but he prefers to lead a simple life in his own home here. I love listening to his stories. He also has a great sense of humor. He can lighten up any tense situation by cracking jokes. He has a magnanimous personality. He donates his entire pension for charity. He believes in simple living and high thinking. So, satinder singh is the person I like talking to the most.

3.故事线:Mr. Adalric 是一个英俊的帅哥,穿着随性对发型要求很高,常常辅导“我”的英语写作,在我忘记带钥匙的时候还会带我去他家。
I live in Stuttgart in Germany and accompany my parents in a medium-size apartment. I have a neighbour named Mr. Adalric who lives in the next door of us.
Mr. Adalric is a highly extrovert man with the look of an adventurer. He is around six feet in height and loves to be casual always in his attires. I have never seen him wearing any formal clothes even when he attends his office. But he is cautious about his hair and regularly combs them with a small hair comb which he keeps always in his pocket. Moreover, Mr. Adalric is fond of kids as he does not have any kid. However, he is a jolly person with a deep voice and helpful too in many aspects.
I like Mr. Adalric much for his benevolence behaviour and his extrovert nature. He likes meeting newer people and most of the time I see him talking with people whom he has never met before and once he told me that it is a hobby for him to get familiar with the unfamiliar people in his surroundings. Besides, he is the person who understands the almost every situation and comes to offer help without any conditions. He has helped me too in some of the situations and particularly in my study. Whenever he comes to visit us, he asks about my study and if I am in trouble with any of my subjects, especially English, he provides me the directives to study and in some cases makes the texts and issues clear to me.
Well, there's this guy living next door who is drop-dead handsome. Sadly, I'd never had the chance to strike up a conversation with him.
But one day, I forgot my keys at home, so after school, I just stood outside of my apartment, playing with my phone, 'cause at that time, my parents were still at work, I'd got nowhere else to go.
At this time, the handsome neighbor I just mentioned earlier came back. To my surprise,he recognized me, and after he realized what was happening, he even invited me to his place. I did not expect that, but I was thrilled, 'cause you know, I finally got the chance to get to know him.
At first, he struck me as a quiet, indoor person, I mean, I'd never seen him talking to other neighbors, and sometimes he would just disappear for a few days, I just assumed that he stayed at home all this time. However, it turned out I was wrong, I saw a wall full of pictures he took from countless countries, so he's not an indoor person at all, if anything, he's a big fan of travelling. And he has really seen the world.
That day, I asked him a bunch of questions about the pictures he took. I have to say, he's a person with a great taste. He's not an artist, but the way he dresses and the style of his photos are just awesome.
And he shared his fascinating experiences along the road with me, which is truly an eye-opener.
So it's fair to say, he's such an interesting person.
So you see, he's got an amazing life, and compared to his lifestyle, mine was so monotonous. I just want to tell myself, get a life, you know. So maybe that's why I want to know more about him, he's just an interesting person that I wanna be friends with.

Well, your questions have reminded me of the Classical Chinese Garden which is just a 10-minute walk away from where I live. It’s always a perfect place to visit. The covered walkways provide shelter so the beautiful views can be appreciated in any weather.
The place is very peaceful, almost like a window on another world. Like other traditional Chinese park, there are a whole bunch of meadows, waterfalls, lakes, rockery there. The scenery seems to change every few feet. Therefore, many elementary school teachers take their students there to discover the secrets of the Chinese culture and the garden is often rented for filming.
I always go to the park to let off steam after work because of the stunning natural views there. The garden is breathtaking in every season. When in spring, everything in the garden turns green and the flowers bloom almost at the same time. In summer, the trees are pretty shady so we can watch fish play in the glistening ponds. The trees change colours in autumn and the foliage looks absolutely fascinating. The garden is brilliant even in winter because snow makes it pure and neat.
